Positives and Negatives of roosters trial

i always have the view with trials that you take whatever positive you can get, and then don't fret about the negatives, but still learn from them,

Positives
1) Win
2) Walkers goal kicking. Remarkably this was the difference, and Michael Gordon is a great kicker
3) Blake Green. He was the dominant half and I thought was very controlled and calm.
4) Sironen. Some lovely edge running and ball playing. He gave Uate a lovely ball at one stage which created a great opportunity.
5) Uate and Taufau. Strong ball running.
6) Tommy T. Dangerous as all hell.

Negatives
1) Some holes in defence, but then that's what trials are for.
2) DCE. I thought he was quiet, I do like how Green seems to be running the ship, but DCE then needs to inject himself more.
3) we got caught out a couple of times on the attack when Api took the line on, we had Marty at hooker distributing. This unfortunately blunted the attack, we need to be aware of Apis runs and have some good hands at hooker to capitalise.

Some really good signs tonight. Well done lads.

Postives walker and tom seem very strong in attack. Green is a masterstroke.
The centre position Steve old spot did Kelly do enough or will plodder weight get it ?
The pigs frank winestein is he a genuine starter. Lastly I can see Cullen, hastings and lane putting a lot if pressure on to play nrl. Lewis brown take note

Yes although these two sides, roosters mainly, had put out almost full strength sides. It's better winning em then losing em anyways

According to the Roosters review, Manly's discipline allowed them back in the game.

Hope that TB fixes our slack attitude by round 1. 2016 Manly were the most penalized side and it's totally self imposed

Lol.
He played the whole game....I for one think it is a fantastic thing that he doesnt have to touch the ball every play, or even every set.
Our big weakness last year was that the opposition could load up on DCE and we had nothing else.
Green has certainly taken a lot of control, last night anyway.

What I'm most pleased with is how Blacktown Workers have been going. There is some great talent in that side and one of the problems last year was that we didnt have the back ups in certain positions ie centre, wing, five eighth, half and even hooker. This year we do and in fact some may be more talented than the incumbents eg Hastings, Schuster, Kelly

Yes. From that highlights package both Green and Turbo went high and missed tackles which led to tries.
It's hard to be perfect, but ....
