may i ask. When you read a book, do you just read what is on the page, or do you read between the lines?

I am not having a go, I just get the sense that things are rather black and white for you at times, and that you were never taught how to read behind the lines. Dont take that wrong champ it is an honest question, and answer it honestly as it will help me explain things to you in a different way next time we debate, you will then not get your back up as much and will understand the points i am trying to make. So answer honestly.

He is saying He would prefer them to rot in prison rather than be put to death, he is however saying that he does not think our prisons are tough enough

You took it as him saying he would prefer that they have a holiday which is completely incorrect and not what was being said by nodd.

It comes down to this

1 - Against the death penalty
2 - Would prefer they rot in prison, being raped, sodomised and beaten
3 - That wont happen in Aussie jails, unfortunately...but he believes it is a better punishment if it did happen
