Heard that Bulldogs bought a world class triathlete to work their fitness sessions. It is a very good idea.
I trained him to be world champion now he is getting the extra money.
Life is tough ~ not really I love it with a passion ~! Life that is!

The Manly Daily today mentions that Clint Halden apprantly has the inside running to be 5/8 next year.

This year was ruined for him by injury. Seems like a lot of expectation for someone who hasn't even played a first grade game yet.

Dessie should have blooded a few more promising Pl players over the past 12 weeks of the comp like Taylor etc to see if they could handle the step up.

Heard yesterday that Burns in strongly in contention for the 5/8 spot next year. But the coaching staff want him to put on 10 kilos in the offseason because he is too small at the moment - something like 78 kilos.

I'm sure if he spent a few saturday nights with the ST lads he would put on 10 Kilos 🙂

Burns was built like a brick outhouse at the start of the year. If he puts on any more weight he will lose speed. He either has the ticker of Tooves and the skills to go with it or he won't make it. I believe he should be given his chance.

Im with MB. At least give the bloke a chance. I sometimes question our clubs ability to blood the young guys apporopriatly. It often appears we take the easy road and let the possibility of finding a star go bye.
