a) we have room in squad for two more signings (possibly more some new recruits are development players).
b) Like them or not, our Outgoings are vastly superior players to Incomings so far

It's the modern norm for clubs to release players still contracted to make way for others so we will see some bigger players on the move.

Guys like Klemmer are in the mix.

Brendon elliot would be a upgrade on the likes of parker uate wright and suli on the wing. Hes solid and safe and from what i remember faster then sluggish parker

Funa already was in the top 30
Id say cust would be more likely to get promoted ahead of metcalfe at this stage.
Schonig waddell and Elliott all really good depth players and could all really surprise us IF they actually sign. We are still short a starting forward and a starting winger. The other wing spot can go to suli T.wright Anderson Taufua or Elliott.
I like Amone being upgraded too, surely this year.
Lastly I'm hearing perrett could be gone too, apparently on good $ for a lazy fringe player.

Think the Bulldogs would have been paying some of Perrett's freight previously , maybe for his 3 rd year at Manly and having to pay full contract value, this could have some bearing in retaining him and based on his current form . Did Elliot get injured this season ? Did not notice him much with the Titans [ that was his club this year i think ] but if he does come to Manly , a bit of an upgrade on Jono Wright . Superior seed out wide should still be the priority and at least with existing signed guys like Tom Wright and Anderson to be given a go . Atkins is too good a player and centre to be in the Saints Regies but unlikely to be in Manly "s sights , dollar wise . Again , not that many high profile players on the market this season [ not that Manly in the present circumstances could be in the hunt if quite a few were available ] . Just have to wait and see but hopefully a reasonable outcome cap quality and depth wise in due course .

Thank goodness Parker isn’t going anywhere... he won an award the other night for best running style.
