Missed the game, just been reading sivertails. Seemed we were right in it, just some costly errors and some rough refs calls. Considering panthers are the red hot favs to take the title, good to see us compete and almost get it done. Definitely improving which is awesome

Mate we had them on the ropes and jake was about to score to even it up and he dropped it.. then they went on to score. After that we didn't look like winning.. difference was cleary he is brilliant absolutely brilliant.... not being funny here but he spanked dce and showed what a half should do.. lots of nothing from chez today. He had some good moments but we needed him to step up like Nathan did for panthers. If jake doesn't drop it who knows.... good game you should watch the replay

Why does the game begin with momentum killing set restarts to them which puts us on the backfoot immediately and then it gets put away while they slow us down for the rest of the game. Not to mention the garbage offside all game and them constantly moving forward in the play the ball. We weren't the better side today, we didn't deserve to win but f**k me we got put under the pump by Klein to begin with.

We were under the pump for most of the first half, off the back of Penrith dominating field position. We did well to get back in the game in the 2nd half but the defining moment was Penrith defending 4 consecutive sets on their goal line, then going 100m and scoring on their 1st opportunity.

And you had to remember we just played Penrith at full strength first time in 6 weeks they were. You add a recognised nine and a fully fit walker into our squad we take Penrith today.

From a non one-eyed point of view, if possible, I think there were a few dodgy situations in that match that benefited penrith, supposed one on one strips etc..
After the quick two tries in the first half I was worried but overall a great effort to match it with the panthers for most of the match.
Initially too many missed tackles but they muscled up their defence. Freaky try to the panthers at the end.
Well done Manly, Keep building.

The Panthers dominated us in two positions - half and hooker. We might grab some space back by giving Cust more time at hooker and we will definitely gain some ground when we have Fainu or Lawton available. As for half/play-maker - IF our forward totally dominate DCE can set up points. Otherwise our best chance is to let Foz and Shoe run the attacking plays.

Our completion & handling sadly let us down in the last 20 minutes. Walker, Suli, Sironen, Jorge & potentially Fainu all still to come back. Things are looking much brighter than 3 or 4 weeks ago. I’m still dirty we lost & I can’t wait to play these mf’s again.

We desperately need Fainu. Just watch his siblings in Harold Matts GF. That family have some really talented kids. In a couple of years they will be something else. Just really hope that Mase can come back.

We still have new combinations etc and players coming back. They were at full strength and apparently we put more points on the Panthers then any other side this year. Very good signs! Ref also ****ed us all game.. cleary also so good. They have a big weakness... their fullback! Come the finals we can get them

The boys stood up today. If not for 3 Jake mistakes we win that game.
2 crucial set restarts and that dropped ball close to the line killed us in the end. Garrick being raked hurt and cost big time as well.
Otherwise what a great showing from the boys.

Dogs Broncos tigers sharks cowboys would have all been beaten today by 30+ the way the Panthers were playing today, we held our own for about 65 minutes of that game.

We were not full strength at all and still have some very inexperienced players in our team, only first year in the NRL yet we pushed the premiership heavy weights all the way.

If we stay fit and can sneak into the top 8 some how with either lawton or fainu at 9 later on in the year walker back and turbo not injured we would be a side not one would want to play in finals.

Still as a side we are a work in progress but we are definitely improving.
