I don't have the exact stats but I was alarmed that last year Manly were in the bottom five for both dropped ball turnovers, and penalties against.
We are not so good that we can afford to play top sides and have less than 50% of the territory or ball. Our lack of Props may mean we are high on the list of metres conceded. We played such a simple game plan that it is paramount that our discipline is much better, that we cut down errors and play sides on an equal footing.
The stupid penalties we gave away at Gosford, coupled with the same offenders has me slightly concerned that nothing has been learnt.
Cleal and Burns, should they play first grade this season are particular players who must show greater control as they have both spent more than one stint on the sideline due to suspension.
