I fear for this too, croker can retire he is ****. Which I have been saying for years, I think Simpkin arrived tonight and this gives him the confidence to go on with it.

Was great to win but seriously watching games lately is becoming a fiasco. The refereeing is just rubbish at the moment. Tonight was a shambles and it feels like most games are like this. The nrl better get its sh*t sorted otherwise people will turn off. It's a contact sport. Hits in the head are unavoidable. Nobody goes out there to deliberately do this. It's become a circus.

Couldn’t agree more. In fact I was screaming those exact words at the tv all afternoon/night. Not sure the missus really cared though.

I think the Dragons loss and display knocked plenty around. That was nothing short of disgusting. I won’t say I was confident we’d win, but always thought we lined up reasonably well against them and they have been poor, despite a win over an equally rubbish Easts. Was quietly confident we’d go close if they dig in, and they really did!

The Yeo high shot was at least a sin bin based on the other two sin bins.

Seibs has already said that Croker IS our starting hooker and I'm pretty sure that he said that after tonights game when he was being interviewed by FOX.

I don’t bash Siebs here as much as some, but if Simpkin loses his spot to Croker when back, I’ll def be doing the initiation to the Cartel! Tonight was a window into our future. Moving through this year and into next we need to start clearing the dead wood.

I love how you can go back several tackles to bin a player for a questionable head high, yet you can’t wait three seconds to check a 40/20. It is complete lunacy and rendering a lot of the sport unwatchable. Playersrefs and punters are all confused and bemused . It’s a big inconsistent, irrational, illogical mess

The going back several tackles for the sin bin wouldn't be her, it would be the video ref.

I don't think its her fault the game was a bit of a farce, the head high edict combined with slippery surface at commbank was just a recipe for a ****show.

I figured we'd play better and that having Turbo back would be a huge lift, but I also thought we'd be too light on in the forwards to get the job done. Turns out we were not.

That was one of the best wins I can remember in a while. As others have said, we managed to hold firm when the tide turned against us. We never lost the lead, and finished them off with some excellent tries.

And yes, this should be the game that cements Simpkins as our starting hooker and moves Jurbo back into the front row rotation. Fingers crossed that will happen.

Once we got out to that late 16-point lead, I was a little surprised to see that Penrith seemed pretty much disinterested in chasing it, even with eight or 10 minutes to go. They don't have the same belief or desire (probably both) that they've had for the last five or so years, or maybe the player turnover has finally caught up with them.

She made so many errors
The push in the back penalty on Garrick was just insane and then the 40/20 plus going back and binning sio sio for an incident 5 mins previously and then the turbo penalty and the non binning of yeo. She cannot ref again until she receives some serious coaching. That was just inept.

Yes there is but not all 3. Only Jake or Josh on the field at a time for 20 min each and definitely no more Sipley at all.

There's no way croker comes straight back in, he's so under done.

I reckon seibs just maintains hes our starting hooker just to support the bloke. With how many setbacks from injury croker is getting I'm wondering if some kind of medical retirement on the cards...

Nathan will be in the UK next year and Ivan will go to another club. He’s won everything there and time for a new challenge.

I would be starting Jazz at 13 and Jake starting prop. Simpkins was fantastic tonight and has played himself into that starting roll.

Jake simply has to be played as a traditional front rower with 2 x 20min bursts.
