I'm sure there's plenty of fat in the cap to accommodate a very good 5/8. Maybe enough to offer Foran a return home.

Him in the team makes us a premiership threat.

If The Dogs paid some freight to lessen the hit, why not. Then again, any number of 5/8's would do.

I just think my example shows we may have a lot more room than people bargain for.

Also, if Barrett DOES up and quit, I reckon whoever comes in next might have a pretty good damned team inherited, and might look like a star.

I'd offer aiden sezer a deal. Would be cheaper. Good organiser and has a good kicking game. Apparently wants to come back to sydney.

@Ryan you are correct ... we have good things to look forward to ....

If we can just get through this year without devouring the world wide stocks of sausage rolls .... we will be on the up .....

Just shows that before Green's act of bastardry, injuries, and GreenTurds salary cap intervention, Baz and Bozo had put together a pretty handy squad .....

I reckon tangles was our biggest loss is this year. His impact off the bench can't be underestimated.

With respect that 3/4 line is simply not good enough.

I doubt Perrett and AFB will cut it under the new rules. The lean and lanky forwards will be favoured.

edit: I have just been convinced otherwise re AFB. He is a keeper, hopefully Perrett is too.

Yeah, he was going good ... and getting better ...

But for mine our season started to get dark following Green's act of bastardry compounded by GreenTurds intervention to stop us signing a suitable replacement .....
Agree but i meant injury loss from the squad we started the season with

In the backs we only need one player, an effective five eighth. The rest of the back line will be effective if we have someone assiting DCE in the halves, especially with kicking, fifth tackle options, good ball skills and passing.. The backs are well catered for with Tom T., Walker, Kelly, Taufua, Tom Wright, Suli, Anderson, Parker (forward or back), Funa, and a couple of other young players coming through. What we need is at least one or two effective and experienced forwards to assist the existing pack. No way would I let Taupau go unless he chooses to do so. He and Jake are our two biggest yard makers and despite Taupau's problems with his hands, he is easily one of our best. We have missed Sironen, who looked to be coming along well. So as I see it three players, two forwards, one back, and some competent up and coming back ups for the Reggies. That will get us back on track.

I'm actually really looking forward to Jorge getting back on the paddock in a couple of weeks, I realise the lose of a winger can't be used as an excuse for losing games but the guys a beast with the ball in his hands. Also Sulli can only continue to improve with match fitess and should be able to contribute more with helping to get us out of our own end.

I would offer Blake Austin a contract at the right price.
I know he's not popular on here but I think he can play and a change of clubs would do him good.
Better than what we have.

Sadly, you’re living in the past @Ryan

Ho do you figure mate? I have no doubts, injury free, we'd be much better off ! It's not doom and gloom for the sakes of it. We are injury plagued. That's not anyone's fault either. Not the players, the coaches or the ownership (maybe Brooky's turf, but even then, it's a stretch)
