Since 2006, either Manly or Melbourne (and on two occassions, both at the same time) have been involved in every Grand Final - except in 2010 - when we had a flat year and the latter were playing for no points.

Also interesting, since 2006, only three coaches have led their team to the Premiership. That being Bellamy, Ha$ler and Bennett.

Manly is also the only team to have played finals footy every season since 2005.

It really has been a decade of Manly and Melbourne at the top. I think with our off-season recruits, Killer, the Stewarts and our young halves, our time at the top might not be subsiding anytime soon. Melbourne on the other hand?

If we win next week then Snake, Lyon, Matai, Gift, Kite, Watmough and Ballin will have secured a 3rd of Manly's total premierships over a period of 6 seasons. That's pretty special.

Having been born mid 70s I can't recall our 70s dominance, so this period is very special. The 95-97 was obviously very special also, although the whole super league war did ruin the whole game for me at the time.

4 Grand Finals in 7 years is just an amazing achievement. And a minimum of 2 Premierships as well.

I remember the 2007 season. Throughout the season I was thinking we are looking good to do well....but never even hoped for a GF appearance. Then when we made it it was surreal. The whole week leading up to the GF was very special.

And to think we've had 2 more since.....and now another!!!!
