Agreed. How Croker is used should be changed, and that is all. Whether that means running Simpkin off the bench, or even Croker off the bench, and running one as the "impact", or with an alternate role in the gameplan, I don't know.

Many forget the great year Croker had in 2022, he does have some great craftiness, and his defence is absolutely fantastic. I don't think he's been at his best lately, and I really hope that isn't permanent damage from the concussion for his sake. Some more out of hooker is preferable, but the answer isn't shooting Croker into the sun.

As for our centres and wingers, no matter what has occurred at the end of this year, it is a fantastic improvement on Harper and Parker making less than 100 metres every single game. Every backline member averages more than that, and for some, like Koula and Turbo, they come well over that mark.

Koula had an off year and will improve. I'm 90% sure Saab had been carrying an injury in the backend of the year. Compare his yardage carries in Vegas and his efforts as of late. Something is causing him to back off. Hoppa and Talau with a bit more size will improve us significantly. Of all things, this isn't a rebuild issue. We have the backs to compete.

Naden could take over Paulo's role, namely a tall outside back for reserve grade, who has plenty of NRL experience including playing in a grand final.

Be more inclined to just retain Ray Vaega in regard to individual ability if this Naden move is official but with Paulo leaving and Naden being able to cover centre and in the depth consideration , not the worst option .
Not even sure if Naden played much i st grade at all with the Tigers this year and to take into account some of his previous off field issues but hopefully a bit of due diligence has taken place if again this move does become official .
Type of player in the Jono Wright mould , a handy fill at times but only just
