Other half in 2016 ??

How long is Jamie Lyon gonna last? He said himself, that he wakes up sore and his age is to his detriment a lot more often.
Still great in defense and a lynch-pin in attack, I think 5/8 as his permanent position, is just gonna bring him unstuck. Sure, he can jump in there for a game or two but as a permanent half?
We should be protecting our more senior players, not throwing them into the fray!

A hamstring this injury, and a pained neck, what is next?

I was tempted to release the other half for 2016 and replace with a younger model, but I'll see how she finishes the year. I don't like change.

Mitch Cornish is a good player but if we're wanting to pair an up and coming rookie with DCE then why not give young Rudolph a shot?
Comparatively in the NYC Rudolph stats shat all over Cornish's, he's not too young like an U20's player and has been plying his trade well in NSW Cup, he's a goal kicker plus he is already on our roster and trains everyday with DCE so they would already have an understanding of each other's games! He just needs to be given a shot by Tooves to prove himself!

Lucky? Austin was the best half the Tigers had and they let him go cos they've invested too much, promoted and promised too much in Moses and Brooks to play either of them in NSW Cup and they will refuse to drop either to NSW Cup regardless of form!

I say it's a loss for the Tigers and a smart buy for Sticky!!

And if the Tigers let youngster Te Maire Martin go the club needs to be shot because this kid is 100 x better than Brooks and Moses put together!!

The boys in the under 20's will probably slot into NSW cup next year and be groomed as back up.

Really? Is that true? It's hard for a kid prove himself without being given a decent opportunity to do so.......
I guess that's the cut throat business we call Rugby League!

Well if I had to pick out of your other suggestions, hands down my first pick would be Te Maire Martin to pair with DCE and then stick with our Juniors and groom Travers and Pearsell in NSW Cup! 🙂

Mate I'm in Charters Towers at present, opposite me in the van park is one of those juicy campers and in it are two Sweedish backpackers, one is about an 8/10, the other is current wearing a tight tank top and has a truly impressive chest, I'd rate her a 9.5/10.

Currently thinking Id like a trade in, wonder if I can swap 1 for 2???

I know we have put most of our eggs in the DCE basket and we wont be able to afford much BUT if DCE got injured ( and for 3 state of origin games ) we will have no recognised half for a certain number of games next year. Cant see how the club would allow that so I reckon we will end up buying another specialist half from somewhere who can a) play 5/8 and b) run the show stop gap when DCE is absent.

That's why I see Cornish as a huge chance.

The roosters look like letting Maloney go, he's a goal kicker and is a very good 5/8th imo.
If we can afford him he'd be the one I'd sign.
