Other Games [Round 22, 2021]

I might be in the minority, I don't rate Melbourne as highly as some. I think the Panthers at full strength are a better side. Before origin, they were unstoppable. That side then would of dismantled Melbourne. Better attack and more physical. Their first lost came due to having 6 players out in origin, then they have also lost Clearly and a whole host of players but IF, big if they get their full compliment back and start to play that upbeat tempo I think they are a more dangerous side.

Personally I think it will just come down to who ever on the day manages to plays their best footy. I still think its between Manly, Panthers, Storm, and Souths. Everyone of those teams has the potential to win it on their day if they produce amazing footy. Injuries could also still play a big factor.

Speaking of injuries ...
Here is another spanner in the works for the title
Season ending injuries to the Roosters key players Keary, Friend , Cordner , Moris , and Collins has not ended their finals aspirations as they inspirationally sit on equal 4th on the ladder . The more they keep winning against adversity the more confidence and belief they will have in going all the way .

I have a query about this: Penrith's new recruit Tevita Pangai jnr took leave last week for personal reasons and will not make his club debut this week. He came out of the squad 24 hours before kick-off along with Staines.
TPJ left the Penrith 'Bubble' so doesn't he automatically have to isolate for two weeks? If so, why was he on the list of 21 players nominated for this match? My calculations mean he wouldn't even be eligible for the following match. . . .

I think he didn’t leave the state that’s why.

The storm have lost high quality of players during the years like smith , slater , cronk ,

But they are still a high quality team because they not only keep performing at a high quality level

Most important they keep performing at a high quality level consistently

Respect to the storm the current NRL Benchmark
Difficult to respect cheating filth Bozo, that's my opinion anyway

SMH says:

Bellamy’s men were far from their best and will also be sweating on the NRL match review committee findings after Cameron Munster was put under the microscope for allegedly lashing out in a tackle.

Why bother he's dodged any suspensions from earlier incidents with a fine.
He's Teflon coated that bloke

It was ruled inconclusive by the bunker, in that there wasn't enough evidence to prove either way if it was or wasn't a knock on, so the ref's decision stood while the Storm kept their captains challenge.
I thought they lost the challenge but kept it because the bunker ruled the Munster had run a player off the ball and that was the first infringement, a strange ruling I thought but that's football in 2021

That's what I thought as well. The ref said he saw the escort but was playing on because Canberra got the ball back. Then the video ref saw it exactly the same way but decided that the restart should be from the escort. Somehow that equals challenge successful. Amateur hour from the Refs, wasn't a judgment call just poor processes.

Respecting our opponent is not about liking them or fearing them

Respecting them is all about acknowledging their level of excellence and striving to be better than them .
I think their level of excellence if you like is built around borderline filth in everything they do, the way they play is not in the spirit of the game, they've never cared about the damage they do to opposition players, the Slater feet to the head of scorers, Croker and his putrid 'tackle' on Snake in the 07 decider, the Hughes knees to the head of Garrick and a plethora of unsportsmanlike performances all designed to win games at any cost and the officials take a week of Sundays to counteract the filth invented by Bellamy to gain advantage, they've changed the game and the spirit with which it's always been played and for me they're a blight on the game I've loved
Nothing in it though.
Is anyone else over Anasta and his fkn rooster bias🤬🤬
