Origin II - 2024

Yep, you just know they won't lose game three. Interesting to see what Slater does tho in terms of changes. I think he needs to make a few.

Hammer's shoulder injury could definitely mess up their works, but his replacement would likely be either Dane Gagai or Selwyn Cobbo. Sure they'd lose speed, but those two are known Origin performers.

A lot of Queensland's problem on Wednesday was they just didn't have the ball and their defence didn't stand up in the first half. When they got more ball in the second half they always looked likely to score. They just didn't have the ball in the first and when they did they gave up possession through cheap errors that would make Billy go even greyer.....

The only Change for the Mighty Maroons will be the change of Scenery feathered friend

The Suncorp Grounds will be the Burial Grounds for the Blues

NSW broke QLD and ran riot. But this is only possible if the middle forwards win the battle early. Jake had a huge part in this. Once his role was completed, the quicker and flashier superstars took advantage on the scoreboard. But, in Jake we trust
Nailed it, well said.

As for game 3, some think the Maroons already have it won....not if complacency and/or a game 2-Blues team has anything to say.

Most of Jake's worth in rep footy has been as a defender and because he's really been the glue that's held NSW together over the past few years just because of the person and player he is. I still say the biggest mistake of Mal Meninga's coaching career was dropping Jake for the Pacific Championships Final last year. In the previous game he had dominated the Kiwis in the middle largely through his tireless defence. In the Final, there was none of that to stop them rampaging through the middle, which they did straight from kick-off. It was a tactical blunder and we all know the end result.
Fittler made the same mistake game 1 last year and paid the same price. Some players' value is only obvious when they are missing.

Anyone else of the opinion a couple of Blues forwards might have had a little "pick me up" before the game on Wednesday.

I am not suggesting anything illegal, not for one minute.

But if I could get some for my mates greyhound before next Thursday it would be appreciated.
