weve already lost a few due to his contract.... drop it to $250 for 2 years Orford.

How do you figure that ?

How did we lose them solely on Orford's contract when Lyon, Stewart, Kite and Watmough would all be on reasonable coin ?
[/quote]

so you dont think his 500k contract for the last few years has squeezed anyone out?

And you dont think Orford has played a massive part in our success over the last few years?

Also i dont understand people saying Orford re-signing will make Foran leave.........Foran is a 5/8, not a half

How about Lyon's 400k ? Or Watmoughs 300k or whatever they are on, have they played no part at all ?

No, it's Orford's fault Manly are paying him what they are. Fancy Orford trying to get a deal that's beneficial to him. I mean the nerve of the guy, he should be playing for 20 bucks a game.

Probably not. Really we have not lost many until this year. We probably lost Bell due to upgrades given to players like Choc and Stewart imo.

The issue isnt if the new contract is going to squeeze players out, it is how many promising halves are going to go elsewhere because they are stuck behind Orford.

Saying that, this was his third good game in a row.

How good has he been going for the last 6 or so weeks. Its hard to believe supporters don't like the little master.

we dont agree on alot byso
but im with you on this
orford is a little legend it makes me sick the **** hes got off fans

hes 10 times better half than monas was

basically,he kicked some tough goals today 2 penalties that were pretty crucial considering campo missed afew even though 1 was from in front but yeah his goal kicking was good,as well as general play kicks, alot of pressure on the ox and i bet hed feel it even more if he read this forum but all in all im happy with the ox and he can make some bloddy good tackles for a little man.

Agree Ox played well today but a two year contract would be better suited and whats the go with Foran are we talking to him ? we need to re-sign him it should of been done like yesterday ill be ticked off if we lose him.

Foran isn't off contract until the end of next season, I would say his manager would be reluctant to extend his deal now, he will be worth a lot more after some first grade experience.

Where did Orford get his kicking game from today as I have never seen him drop kick over the half way line from a restart.

If he can continue to pay like that for the rest of the season we are a big chance to go back to back.
