I work with a former teacher from Scots and he says the same about Ashton. Absolute gun.

Also says Onitoni is very good.

Ashton was the starting nine for city u16 side,our very own local boy Cruz Death was off the bench in that side who is also playing up a level.
Interesting that another two locals have had young guys signed in their positions.
O'Donnell(son of dad who leaked and got sacked) played some nine at Reggie's level and captained the Flegg side a few times and Beau Alexander who is the same age as Onitoni and also plays on the left side have had players brought in to compete.

From what I can gather Storm and Chooks (in particular) sign up top junior talent in bulk, knowing that not all will make the grade but some certainly will.
Maybe Manly is still stinging from the Schuster scenario? So while supporting junior pathways, wants to make sure it's ultra competitive?

I seem to recall some rumours earlier in the season we might have been after Galvin?

Maybe Large was our target all along & hinting at going for Galvin allowed us to sneak under the Tiggers’ guard?

I definately think your onto something wait till they load up Galvin's contract they already have luai and fainu then grab our target large . Very smart.

Looks promising but Schuster was the next big superstar too. Let's hope the kid is switched on mentally to handle the rigors of nrl.

Wouldn't wipe Schuster yet. A lot of factors led to his demise at Manly, some caused by attitude, some by poor management. Bennett is one of the best coaches of the past few decades only surpassed in my opinion by Bellamy. It would not surprise me in the least if Schuster thrives at Souths. Hopefully Large is handled better under Seibold

I forget who it was but wasn't there a poster on here saying they had a contact in the juniors, and no one wanted to come to Manly?
