One Saving Grace

Loobs

Living in the demountable.
It's got to be burning Toddy up that the cricket cheating scandal has reduced the Manly story to an afterthought. All that time and money spent and it's already getting bumped by stories on the womens comp...

Everyone knows how much I love our club.

Not going to lie. All this stuff, plus the punishment, plus the on field performances (2 out of 3 games so far) has left me feeling a little jaded by Rugby League. Like I've been given a swift kick to the stomach.

When I saw the team announced this week, I literally messaged Dan, and offered my Season Ticket, because I'll be scratching a very, very desperate Canberra team up as a loss unfortunately.

I know that's Mr negativity, and Mr Pessismism, and I wish I didn't feel that way, but I do. What magnified that issue is I wrote to Wayne Cousins (ignored), then I wrote to Lyall Gorman, complaining about being ignored, and I was (ignored again). Just think I'll stick with The Swans, and The Avs this year.

No customer service on someone who spends $500+ a year in reserved tickets, is just outrageous. In fact, I was going to buy 3 or 4 of those seats together (around 2 grand), I asked some questions about it - and guess what - my questions were ignored, so I said stuff it, I'll just buy one for me.

Just over it.

There’s a diferrence between customer service and what you are after. If I’ve had issues with my kids memberships or mine and I emailed the customer service guys and it was resolved very quickly. You come across as a bit entitled when it comes to what you expect from the club. That could be from past experience with employees from previous eras but I’ve noticed with your posts, if you don’t get personal service from a higher up you get pissy.

One thing’s for sure if you stick around from here on then you really are a rusted on fan.

Because this **** has been almost constant ( in some way) for about a decade now.

Internal fights, coach desertions, coach sackings , board takeovers , mud slinging , innuendo, rumours , media attacks, police attacks and now NRL attacks.

So you either fold the cards and walk away, or hold em and bluff your way through.

I’m declaring that I’m a holder not a folder!!

I emailed membership, and posted some basic who can I contact questions on Twitter to Wayne Cousins. I was trying to give the club 2 grand Loobs. And when you say "very quickly", if you mean not at all, then yes, you're right.

If I get interaction, and buy in from The Colorado Avalanche staff (which make The Sea Eagles business look like the size of an ant), then I expect a little more, yes.

Not sure why your making excuses for really bad customer service.

It's only round 4. The last thing the team needs is fans deserting them based on an NRL agenda.
Please go to the games Ryan.
I can't get there geographically but if I could I'd be screaming my lungs out for the Sea Eagles. It's the media and a CEO with an agenda painting us in a bad light.
In an extremely busy time. I don't think the above mentioned people have the time to personally respond to fans.
Hang in there.
Manly fans are a minority. Losing passionate voices for our team could kill our club.
Stick with Manly.

Good times happen. Bad times happen. Its all part of following a sporting team. My whole family is gutted, disillusioned, angry about the whole cricket fiasco, but we will still sipport the Australian cricket team in the 4th test and beyond.
I'm not going to bluff my way through this and I'm not going to fold.
I'm going all in!!

Ryan, I always enjoy your passion and I understand that comes at a price for you because you tend to take things personally. Stay with us and just try to remember that how you feel today may be totally different than how you feel next week. I'm certainly not trying to sound condescending, I'm just trying to take some pressure off in the hope you stick around. cheers mate.

Manly are the cleanest Club in the dirtiest and sustained attempts to defame them in the past 5 years :nerd:

I'm not making excuses, but you said you wrote to Wayne Cousins and Lyall Gorman. With everything going on, if Gorman is spending his time responding to customer service emails then the club is doomed.

Mate, you have me covered, and then some. Not the sparring partner I used to be ! I'm the kid who hides in the corner when a fight starts these days hahahaha. Any sign of friction, and I'm:

Damn ... don't take all the fun out of it ...

Ryan, a couple of things being and old fart often gives you is a bit of perspective and a reduction of expectation. The good times come and go, but I sincerely believe we are a club on an upward spiral ... both administrative and team performance ...

You know you are in it for the long haul .... so have another tequila .. and fukk 'em if they can't take a joke ...
