But the one area I think Manly has to unlock - by hook or by crook - is getting more space for this guy to run with the ball.

More room for Koula Shaker would be nice, but really, if we're serious about being premiership contenders, we need to fix the right side of our defence. Then we need to fix the left side. Then we need to hit the tackle bags, over and over again.

We have to learn how to play without the ball. Standing around and watching the other team score and then thinking it'll all work out because we'll just outscore them when we get the ball back is not a recipe for longterm success.
