Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember seeing any significant injuries to the boys tonight. JetSki would be getting some light training I’d imagine. So we get Marty back. They get Sambo back. If we turn up in the same mood like we did last night, and the cohesion just as flawless, and passes sticking, we got the game that can trouble the rabbits.

Ran into DCE at the NSW Cheer & Dance Competition this morning (and no he wasn't an entrant), chatted for about 5 mins which was really cool. He said everyone from last night was fantastic and were excited for next week. He made mention of how great the fringe players were last night. He said there was a massive buzz within the group and said it didn't matter what the media says it was whether they believe. Apart from the fact he talked for me, he also took about 20 photos with the young girls and Dance mums.

Why is it that when I attempt to take photos of young girls and dance mums at these competitions (and believe me, I've attended more than a few) I'm invariably escorted from the building?

When you do you have to wear your teams Dance Dad T-Shirt (DCE said mate, why you wearing that over the Manly jumper I said hey my 10 year old daughter loves the fact that I do take the extra step - end of day a beautiful smile from my daughter is more valuable long term), mate I had to take around 250 photos at the awards so each team in our club had a photo of their kids. Seriously but, each night it's tough watching 30 year old's doing Cheer and Dance. Some of the outfits are better used in other environments.

Soccer is worse. Seriously, I used to be on the roof of the tuck shop and dressing rooms taking the game video for my sons team, some moron called the police and accused me of being a pedo. The police turned up, evidently it is the law that before I video any game I need to ask each parent from both sides if it's ok that I video?

To be fair SL taking video of a bunch of kids whilst perched up on a dressing room probably does look a bit sus. But yeah I get ur point

If Des isnt Dally M coach of the year, then I will be flabbergasted. Those media lunatics that are pushing arfur for coach of the year dont have a clue. Lets put it in perspective. Arfur has been at the squeels for a long long time and it took him this long to get his team to the semis,s, and he has had a very decent roster as well, ok ok he got them a few spoons along the way, but our man Des had a team of misfits and rookies and got us there in his first year back.That to me spells supercoach and that Des is Manly through and through.Yes I was one of the few that at first didnt want him back but l am so happy to eat humble pie. Welcome home Des, home is where the heart is. Go the Bronco,s ,smash those Squeels. That left a bad taste in my mouth lol. P.S if anyone wants some new idea,s for signs next week, how about this one. The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, powered by asbestos... Trust the NRL to find our secret to our success. Let's be realistic... The Sharks are inconsistent and they were off on Saturday. We turned up and that meant we won quite comfortably. The Rabbitohs will have Sam coming back which is massive for them and will be up for the game after their loss to the Roosters. We get Marty back but I'm still not sure whether we have the strike power to win a game against Souths. If we're any chance, DCE needs to be at his best and the players around him need to hold the ball. If we're slightly off, and there's every chance we might be, then our season will most likely be done.

Not trying to be a pessimistic bastard but let's not get ahead of ourselves. A loss is less disappointing when you expect it, hell I'd be happy if we just competed to stay in it next week.

Normally I’d be with you 100% , however what last Saturday showed me is we have a real siege mentality going on with this team, and that’s going to be on show again on Friday.

We might go down but it won’t be like the Donkeys , there WILL a fight out up.

No doubt that we'll put up a fight but I don't think we'll win. We don't have the strike power to hurt the better sides and I'm not sure if we'll have the tank to keep up the high intensity game we showed against Cronulla.
