Ok Daly, Captain Daly:time to deliver is here now-and how you intend to honour Brett?

I would like to see a highlights reel of all the tackles moses missed and the passes that missed the player by miles, oh and the kicks that go straight out. I'm sure if we condensed daly's game into a highlights package it would be a very good one.And it's not his fault what he earns
It's been much publicised that Moses has sorted out his defensive weaknesses. Joey Johns called him the form player of the competition over the back end of the year and it's hard to argue.

DCE highlights package from last season would be a field goal from 10 metres out against the Warriors and not much else. He made one line break last season...Moses made 15.

The point I am trying to make in all of this, concerns the level that DCE has been performing at in comparison to other halves in the competition. Once the third best half in the game behind Thurston and Cronk, he has now been leapfrogged by a plethora of halves including rookies like Moses.

I'm not a DCE hater, I really like him as a player...he is whole hearted and a terrific defender but I just don't th think he as taken his game to the next level like we all hoped he would when he First burst onto the scene.

He was part of a wonderful side in the glory years and could play freely off the back of that but since he has had to step up and become the great player that others play off the back of, he has been shown up a little. Too many Clutch moments the last few years and he hasn't delivered.

We need more from a guy earning his salary...there is some truth to the injuries and diminishing roster excuses but I still expect a little more from him.

take a look at what Mitchell Moses did at the Tigers last year behind their rubbish pack and you'll see what raw talent and confidence can produce.

DCE hasn't been to the next level because he has not had the team around him to give him the opportunities he needs and he has been the main target of defensive plays because he has been manly's only GoTo player

I suspect we'll see him go to the next level with a better functioning team and one that has options in the back line to take the focus off him. I mean look at the back line we've had in recent years. B. Stewart struggling or not playing. Lyons no longer fast enough at centre. Matai injured most of last season. Walker playing out of position. A forward playing in the backline. Pedestrian wingers. The only plus was Tom T. and he performed brilliantly at times but obviously also constrained by his ankle problem. We expected everything from DCE, but then so did opposition teams

The reasons for this have been pointed out, time and time again.

The solution has been provided by the club.

Time for DCE to deliver.

I've been waiting since the GF in 2013 for DCE to return to form and I have kind of given up hope of it happening. He had a real purple patch there at one stage and of course his debut year in 2011 was something special.

I watched a 13 minute highlights reel of Mitchell Moses on Youtube yesterday and I have to say that he did more jaw dropping things in 2 minutes of footage then I have seen from Daly in 4 seasons.

I was a massive fan of Chez there at one stage but he has just underwhelmed so much the last few years. He used to have a wonderful kicking game, would take the line on, and could throw a lovely long pass but he just seems rudderless nowadays.

I have my fingers crossed but I just don't see Daly as a top tier player anymore...sad as it is. That game in 2015 against the Storm at Brookie was a fine match but that's what he should be doing week in week out, not once a year.
Come on.

There were some very good games in 2014...

He'll come good, have faith.

I am a bit worried about lilchip following employees around every minute even when they are off sick
