For all you long time ""older"" fans a question.How would Arko have handled this?

I know exactly how he would have done it.We would have known exactly what these clowns were doing with there career months ago or they would be getting a police escort over the Pittwater bridge.

So true as much as I dislike what the 2 players have done I'm disgusted by the weak response by our club. We have bent over for both players and imo embarrassed ourselves. This is not the Manly way and I hope I never see our club treat (itself) with so much disrespect again. I still don't know why we didn't just set a deadline for both players than we are in control. We have just come across as weak.

Seems our new CEO has done well so far with the playing group:-

+ Acquired the worst of the Burgess brothers, resulting in;
+ Public spat with head coach, resulting in;
+ Media releases have to cool the whole situation;
+ Sacking one first grader, one junior;
+ Losing one of our halves at the age of 24 to Parramatta;
+ With results of losing 3 straight 9 games, 1 trial and getting 1 trial win.

Great start.

Actually, I am tbh. He does the business side of things very, very well. I'd just like to see some positive news (well, more after Matai) than I'm seeing right now so close to the season starting.

It is concerning all this innuendo some of it confirmed (by watmough) that players don't get on with the head coach. I can understand 1 maybe 2 but so far it looks like Watmaough DCE and Foz don't get on with him that's a worry.

as if its not money plain and simple. People using excuses to mask greed. no way did we offer him 1.3mil. But the coach is a convenient scapegoat. As usual Parra do business in a stupid **** way and use up 20% of their cap while we will continue to be successful

No, I'm not blaming him if you have read further in the thread....I just said he has had a **** start. Later in the thread I said I actually liked him as ceo.

We are still paying for the sins of the former board / ownership structure

Like it or not the previous structre caused the current situation (and the inherit lack of leadership at the board level) which will take some time to correct

The writing was on the wall long before our new CEO started at the club. The lily livered leadership stemmed from a divided and split board that allowed a control freak to wreck things with back ended contracts and empower a group of guys who believed they were bigger than the club.

We are in a position that Penrith were in 2011
Once they got rid of the selfishness and got in players wbo really wanted to be there they have thrived.

This is the start of a new era. Time to build again.
