Gallen has a big heart but took a lot of damage in his previous fights & taken a few years off now. If Josh A has any experience in boxing he will hurt Gal bad. Anyways I don’t have a problem with the footy players doing this, good for them to keep fitness up & can be entertaining for the fans.

He would not be top 30 at most clubs.

Im not Aloiai's biggest fan but c'mon this is a bit of an outlandish statement.

Wouldn't start at most club....sure

Wouldn't be top 17 at most clubs....maybe but dubious.

Wouldn't garner much interest at what we pay him...dunno what his current wage is but maybe.

But not top 30 at most clubs? Please.

He is on the meat and potatoes side but Aloiai is a solid NRL front rower, in 39 minutes a game he averages 93m and 17 tackles a game at a 91% tackle effiency. That is 2nd of our props for average run metres and 2nd of our squad regulars for tackle efficiency (behind Toff).

Some of the props he averages more run metres than Flegler, Thompson, Hargraves, Tatola, Cotter, NAS, Leniu, Welch, Collins, Bromwich.

Some of the props he has a better tackle efficiency than Thompson, Fotuaika, Paseka, Stefano, Collins, Welch, Leota, Campbell-Gillard, Taumalolo, NAS, Paulo.

Some of the props with more errors Collins, AFB, Thompson, Barnett, NAS, Stefano, Bromwich, Tapine, Leniu, King

Some of the props who've conceded more penalties JWH, Thompson, King, Leota, NAS, Stefano

And dont get me wrong, I'm not saying we should have re-signed him or that he is amazing. He certainly is no dynamic force in line breaks, tackle busts and offloads but to say he wouldn't make the top 30 at most clubs......madness.

Aloiai on what he brings on the field alone (so salary cap aside) makes every single top 30 squad in the league as they stand.

Shouldn't it be EX Sea Eagle forward. But let's not tackle above the shoulders.
What a farce. No Limit have really turned boxing into a circus sideshow now. Parading around the ring overseas, like bouncers, in their indigenous T Shirts. It's just degraded the sport in Australia.

Unfortunately in the world of boxing, "if it makes money, it makes cents".

Every fighter & promotor wants to be Mo Dollaz.

Honestly, I used to love watching boxing—especially in the early to mid-2000s.

Then (and I am ashamed to say it), I actually realized what I was watching and the long-term impact it was having on the people involved. Maybe it’s getting older, but the idea of watching a couple of people beat each other up, with long-term consequences for my entertainment, is just something I can’t watch.

The risk involved with NRL is more than enough—how this is a good idea for anyone who really knows is beyond me.

Me too. Have watched very few boxers but did follow the last couple of years of Tim Tszyu's career as he was heading to a world championship. However after watching what happened in his last fight... time to retire Tim. You made world champ, earned a lot of money. Too much to lose if he keeps going now but of course he'll have plenty of advisers in his ear, precious few of whom won't have their own vested interest.

As for Lodge, he's missed a lot of footy lately and his career is stalling, so this is a quick way to catch up on the brain damage make a bit of money.

Yeah, poor Tim got spanked in his last fight, didn’t he?

I think he went in thinking Bakhram would be a walkover & paid the ultimate price.

I think he was trying to impress his dad. He's normally extremely smart but this time he thought he could just go in and out-blast the opponent. It's just totally not the way he's fought before.

Bare knuckle is a thing now.

I like boxing, have done since the mid-80s. But I'm kinda hoping now that Tszyu's corner has thrown in the towel that we're going to get less boxing shoved down our throats on Fox League.
