Shaun Johnson in the sheds with his phone, just saying NRL Integrity Unit. As we know you can't do anything off your own back

If the NRL were smart, they should have made part of the criteria for the large payment clubs receive to take one game to a country area each season. This game would generally be against an out of town team that traditionally has low support. During this week the home team would commit to coaching clinics, community work and code building activities. It would go a long way to getting the game going again in the bush and sure up the code's future as well as generating positive press.
Cowboys - Cairns/Mackay
Broncos - Gladstone/Toowoomba
Titans - Sunshine Coast/Ipswich
Newcastle - Port Mac
Manly - Coffs
Easts - Gosford
Souths - Gosford/Wagga Wagga
Wests - Tamworth
Cronulla - Dubbo
St George - Nowra
Penrith - Bathurst
Melbourne - Ballarat
Canberra - Albury/Wodonga
NZ - South Island
Canberra - Bowral
Bulldogs - Mildura/Wentworth
This post should be sent to NRL HQ. It is one of the best ideas ever @Tomay

Did you know that not once since their first ever game against Manly in 1988 have the Broncos played a home game outside of Brisbane? Other than when they were the designated home team in Finals when all games were played at the SFS during the 1990s, every single one of their NSWRL-ARL-SL-NRL home games have been played at either Lang Park / Suncorp or ANZ (QEII). They have never taken one of their games to country Queensland or anywhere else.

That's pretty bad. Makes it feel even worse that the nrl also designate a magic round where every team has to go scurrying to Brisbane to play all the matched in front of the 2 headed masters who wont ever sacrifice a home ground to help country footy.

But (and I can't remember who) it's all ok as it makes it easier for that footy player who stuffed up to speak to all the captains to get that reduction in his fine for being a goose.

They did take a home final to Townsville one year, Tallis' last game as they lost 10-0 to the Cowboys

Live in Coffs do you Tomay?

True, but Finals are played at grounds of the league's choosing, not the clubs. They have never played a minor round home game outside of Brisbane. The only minor round games, other than on the Gold Coast or in Townsville, that the Broncos have played in Qld country areas are when they have been the away team such as when they have played Souffs at Barlow Park in Cairns in recent years.

Sharks were wounded and Broncos not great but what they do have across the park is real speed and those are the sort of sides who will worry us.We defend well but outside of Garrick we are pedestrian. From 1 to 7 outside of maybe Boyd they are real quick.Bird getting a lot better too. They’ll have a bit of confidence now.
Heading to magic round for the three days so hope I’m wrong.
