Non-Manly Games [Round 5,2015]

As I missed the game. Were the refs that bad, or was it just the last penalty that is the main issue?

The Refs were not bad. Graham was berating them all game and should be charged for that as well as the Reynolds reckless tackle.@ Both decisions were correct. Highlights are up on Nrl.com

Vidot can catch short kick offs - sign him now😛

Thanks. Family is asleep now. Will check it all out

Don't know about anyone else but I cant stand the Rabbitohs and I was going for the dogs lol. The constant circle jerk over Souths has ruined any game they are involved in.

On social media, it seems like half the fans are saying the refs got the call right, while the other half are saying he got it wrong. Gus and Sterlo said during the call they thought it should NOT have been a penalty, then Lockyer and Fittler said it's a penalty every day of the week. So it didn't matter which way the referee ruled in this instance, he was on a hiding to nothing. Maybe the rule needs to be looked at in the case, rather than the referees performance. Maybe the rule should be that a player must stay on their feet while attempting a charge down.

Watched the Titans match. Ryan James and Aiden Sezer both played well. The young halfback had a poor game. His tackling was OK and he was keen but nothing went right for him in attack. A full season in first grade could have him primed for a long NRL career, but at this stage I'd be wary about recruiting him.
The Titans must have the fastest players in the comp, and they have plenty of flair with the ball but don't have the defence to win many matches.

The problem as I see it is that none of the refs called it in the play so if he's not down injured it's play on as the ball was still in play. This is the issue with the contentious calls, some are getting looked at and some aren't. Yes he was injured this time but if he wasn't, it's play on.

I would rather we signed Albert Kelly, especially with the reduced interchange kicking in next year.

What are everyone's tips for Roosters v Sharks, I feel like having a punt on this game.

Personally hope that sharks get belted so that we don't fall down to the bottom of the ladder but I have a sneaky suspicion that they will make a real game of it like they did last year
