Non-Manly Games [Round 21, 2019]

I don't know why I noticed it more than usual but;

Allan Langer's wage should be included in the salary cap. Every Bronco's set in attack he is there in the line. Not only is he definitely calling some shots it can throw off the defence just a little when they see a body (regardless of the blue shirt).

It's been going on for years, I know, but it really should be stopped. Unless I've missed it (as I don't watch all games) but he seems to be the only one that does this so very much, like 40 minutes a match.

Langer should be the one fronting the post match pressers instead of Seibold. Alfie is the one who is really coaching that side out there every week.

Broncos get the win thanks to the NRL. No doubt they need a QLD team in the 8. Sucks for fans who pick the cowboys by 2 and lose their multi. Yes, I am bitter about it.

Well... I thought you said the Queensland Cup was pretty good quality?? If this game is any true example, one may feel that you’ve been fast and loose with the truth my friend!!

I reckon some of the Q Cup sides couldn’t do any worse.

FWIW:

Dear Sir ge the 9th esq,

Thanks for your email.

The blue trainer's duties are limited to interchange of players, provision of water, and carrying messages to individual team members. They are not allowed to give general messages to the team or provide any coaching (except to provide messages to individual team members) during play. They are only allowed on the field while their team is in possession of the ball (up until the fourth tackle), when a try has been scored or during a time-out called by the referee due to an injury. They are not permitted on the field when their team is defending.

Generally, it is the blue-shirt trainers who attract the most attention because they are often high-profile people and are on the field for longer periods of time.

The NRL football department continues to monitor this area of the game closely and has issued warnings and sanctions last year following the actions of blue-shirt trainers.

Thanks again for taking the time to write to us, we’ll ensure your views are registered.

BREAKING: NRL hits Josh McGuire with Grade 2 Contrary Conduct charge - faces 3 to 4 week ban
Details https://t.co/xqSC5oTPXk

The funny thing is he should have been gone twice already for this grubby act he’s been doing and they were both worse than the current effort.

Only way he’ll learn is give him a big extended holiday like 12 weeks.

I just had a look at that and wow.

How the bunker announces these decisions without laughing, sounding guilty, or embarrassed is a thing of beauty.

No explanation needed........the NRL got the decision they wanted.

@WackosWhispers

Precedent been set by NRL by allowing Panthers an exemption to play Matt Burton in 1st Grade when he isn't in Top 30 man squad or Development player when they have Dean Blore a half who is a Development player and eligible to play 1st grade
------
Last year Manly couldn't manage to get Nase up to NRL to play hooker when Api was injured. We had to use Wright a back instead 😡

George Burgess does it once = 9 weeks.

Maguire does it 3 times = MIGHT be looking at 3 or 4 weeks suspension.

Perhaps if they'd given Maquire 9 weeks the first time he did it he wouldnt have done it a 2nd & 3rd time.

How culpable would the NRL have been had his 2nd or 3rd victim actually lost sight or lost an eye due to his grubbiness?

I don’t know why it is but some players get in the “ protected list” and other ( like Skivvy) only had to “ look twice” at another player and was gone for a month.

And don’t start me on the protection of the future immortal Scam.
