<p>Veteran Leeds centre Keith Senior insists the Super League champions will let their rugby do the talking in Sunday's Carnegie World Club Challenge at Elland Road.

Whilst defending Mayer's situation, this was not a sensible thing to say in the lead up to the game, though either side hardly needs the motivation to play well.

Probably inferior overall; but the better superleague teams would be a consistent match for the weaker nrl teams; australian coaches, techniques and players have brought nrl-learnt standards and attitudes over here. More recently topline players have come over.

Could be an interesting little side bit in this game

In 2006, NZ v GB Matai towelled up Senior in a scrap, and they haven't played since. Senior made noises early last year about if he got another chance he would hammer Matai, and Matai replied with something along the lines of him being too old
