New coach Poll

If we go down this avenue, interested in who we think we should target?

Whoever the current panthers assistant coach is. Forget his name, but comes from the same path as ciraldo and Webster. Good enough for me. Have Tooves as his assistant or vice versa if he’s not ready for the top gig.
Ben Gardiner who's also Samoa head coach, he's on Meninga's radar as his assistant.

What about one of the Iro's? And that is Iro pronounced with an (I) not an (E) like the kid wants it pronounced. When the father and uncle played their surnames were pronounced correctly.

Why would he sign that deal.

Well, if he could get free I'd go Holbrook, I rate him.

He and Tino were close to so bring Tino across
Apparently happy with the clause because being paid overs as an assistant….agree with you Holbrook can coach and Tino would be awesome .Penn needs to go after a Bellamy or Cleary to really turn things around but that won’t happen .

Even though our owner wouldn't stump up the cash required, Ivan Cleary.
Its been said we need an ex Manly player to coach us to a premiership.
Cleary wouldn't touch the place with a 10ft poll. He couldn't wait to get out of the place. Going to Norths he was desperate to get out of Manly.

Pretty fair call that Holbrook does have a bit going for him .
Maybe could bring him in as an assistant coach , could be interpreted as a bit of an indication of lack of confidence in the present coaching grouping but looks like a bit of a shakeup required here as much as the main playing group
Hanney may have a good rating , just on general indications also

SEIBOLD SAFE

Manly officials insist Anthony Seabold’s coaching job is safe at the moment, despite a shocking loss to the Titans on Friday night on the Gold Coast.

It won’t however stop the rumour that Fox Sports star Michael Ennis is being groomed to eventually take over from Seibold, who has another two years to run on his contract.

Ennis has previously worked at the Raiders and Eels as an assistant before joining Manly where he is highly regarded by the players.

Seibold is no certainty to see out his deal unless he can quickly turn Manly’s form around.

Well if Ennis is our next coach let’s hope he is as good as his uncle frank stanton

If we miss the 8 he’s gone

So Seibold will be sacked by the end of the month, that the usual pattern when officials say a coach is safe.

Ennis would make an absolutely god awful first grade coach. There's a reason we picked him up from a pathways job at Cronulla.

For me, it's Matt King, Josh Hannay, daylight, and then the assorted group of faliures on that list.

There is literally no guarantee any of those faliures would be better than Seibold. I have some faith that both Hannay and King will make good FG coaches. Pretty sure Ballin is pissed off at Manly, he'll never return.

Well as much as I hated him playing against us he could play and his analysis of the game on Fox is top notch.I feel a little bit disloyal saying it but I think Siebold is not taking us where we need to be.
Ennis is certainly an x player of the modern game, so should know what we need to do, and importantly who we need to do it

I would love some Manly DNA back.
I wonder if Jamie Lyon can coach? He had such a great footy brain.
I wonder how Watmough is developing?
If we don’t get a Manly connection we need someone with either the anger of Bellamy/early Des, the passion of Ricky, or the smarts of Cleary. Seibold is just so calm and measured. Always being positive, even when we suck.
I want doors ripped off when we lose. That’s what we need imo. A whole change of attitude.

Ennis who played 274 NRL matches across five clubs, told this week's Big League magazine that Manly's superb teams of the 1990s earned his adoration.

"I was an avid Manly supporter throughout the '90s. I grew up loving and idolising Geoff Toovey, Cliff Lyons and Steve Menzies," he said.
