I am glad I have never ever misjudged a player signing / potential of a player (I mean you know I am being truthful by profile pic...the most under rated footballer of all time)
"hang your head in shame" sounds a touch toxic and dramatic to me...it comes from a place of perceived superiority. But really, who cares, have a good one 🙂Actually not toxic or dramatic.. if you look at it from the "other" side of reality..
I'm just pointing out that as Manly Sea Eagles "supporters" we shouldn't be so quick to bag out players that we sign.. give them some support and encouragement and look at it with "the glass half full" mentality.
The players are human after all and I'm sure that every one of them wants to be a star not a dud.
I was all for this signing. But I was even wrong. He even exceeded my expectations.Bugger you lot. I love the idea of Brown at MAN. At the outset. Yes he's slowing down. Am I concerned how many games he'd play? Sure.
But he has what our group lack. That's fight. It's a bit of CU Next Thursday in the parking lot prick. Its experienced campaigner that won't get a tight spincter and big eyes during the grind.
Love the idea of playing him as a small prop forward off the bench in short stints. Lock pushing Jake to prop.
All of sudden with Brown and Lodge. I think it takes some pressure off Jake, AOA. I see them being better because of some experienced pricks standing next to them.
But to truely take advantage of what adding those slowing harder heads in the middle does. We need to add extra speed into and around that pack.
I'm 🙏ING we keep Lawton as a running and ball playing forward. That was missing last year.
If we ain't getting Curran we need our lawman.
Bull has the leg speed at prop or lock.
We need one more middle option with some toe. I don't see Waddell as a middle myself
Just like a Joey G or a Kennedy. Sometimes you've got to take a risk, neither was in there prime.
Not really getting into this example but in general on STTelling other posters to "hang their heads in shame" is not toxic, and is just you pointing out posters need to be more positive towards the players?
Calling them "so called experts"....also not toxic?
Lol. Ok then.
Hey I won 700 bucks on Manly winning the 2008 GF. It was when Centrebet had that promotion about getting a free jersey if you took out a bet or something so I put it all on Manly and they won, happy days back then, I wish I still had that 700 bucks now lolIf only I’d bought bitcoin when everyone else thought it was a joke.
If only I invested in Apple, when they were a washed up computer company.
If only I bet on Manly to win 21+ in the 2008 GF.
If only I didn’t think that Aaron Groom was the new Messiah.
If only I don’t think that Phil Blake would win us a premiership.
If only i thought that Des mk2 wouldn’t have ****ed over our roster.
No one is right all the time. And….as they say “ a broken clock is right, twice a day”.
We would all love a crystal ball, but please don’t stop with opinions, thoughts or discussions. Otherwise, this mighty Silvertails forum would be boring as hell.
Go Manly and go Nathan Brown
He'd use a cherry-evans-picker (no way he'd put his body in danger by simply climbing the tree)All the classic disdains are in there and i know when he is retired , 47 and saves a kitten in a tree at Byron Bay , someone will be looking for me on ST
