After watching him in NSW cup tonight, he still looks like he is carrying a few extra kgs, but his form is pretty good. Made some strong runs, and was solid in defence. As I said in another thread, he'll be back on the bench by Round 6 - Certain!!

g'day all,i guess it depends what your looking for in a player i admit to being a george fan and the criticisms of him being overweight ,not as fit as others or should be,a bit lazy in defence(certainly not the worst ive seen) etc are valid.But he runs with purpose a bit of footwork and can put a dent in the line, has the ability to offload and natural ball skills somethings im sure that someone like kingy would love to have in his game.I think he can still bring something extra to the team, so lets hope the big fella can regain fitness,form and the one thing we all need confidence.lovefooty said:

When has George been good in the first half a dozen rounds of the season?
simple fact is he is always behind on fitness on where he should be for first grade but after about 5 - 10 matches usually finds is feet. Maybe Tooves has decided he is too much of a liability until then
