My 2007 Squad Prediction:-

Ok, there's supposed to be 25 in the squad (being the top 25 paid players in club). This is my prediction:- (For fun, I thought I'd try and fit them into a $4 million dollar salary cap). A lot of the figures I have written have been released in the media, but the majority are just guesses, and I have put them in highest paid to lowest paid (remembering the NRL set a minimum price of $50k per player:-

Ooooooh..now that's close !!! That leaves me at 3.855 million. Mind you, the media GROSSY exaggurate players contracts, so I may well be off the mark !!!

I have doubts that squad can win the Comp. Most of the past winners have some very good players who can't fit into their top 17. We can't boast that same level of depth.

CC - mate - I disagree. If you watch the last round game against The Stor without BK, we played pretty well....
I just hope a few players get off their butts !!!

I agree our top 17 guys go all right but look at numbers 18 to 25:
Glenn Stewart, Jason Wells, Adam Cuthbertson, Phil Moorwood, Mailangi Styles, . Matt Ballin, Glen Hall, Jack Afamasanga
Not a lot of experience there. It worries me.

Far out guys - you are all tough...But that's a good thing...it means you demand success, which is a change in the overall attitude in my opinion of supporters in this club.

He'd have to be offereed an upgrade at contract time. If not , then it shows how we snubb loyal junior players in order to chase marquee players. Not the best way to go.

There is a wealth of Fullbacks in the NRL. You wouldn't say Brett is one of the top 5. I know he has had big wraps on him guys, but lets not get ahead of ourselves here.

In my opinion, he has a ways to go under the high ball, running the ball back from long kicks, and his general talk on the field.

I would say Brett is in the top 5 imo, agree that he has work to do in the areas you mentioned but he is top 5 from that list above.
