Base Salary Cap Squad Rules​

At least 24 Top 30 players must be contracted by 1 November, 28 Top 30 players by the Monday prior to Round 1 and 30 Top 30 players by 30 June (or the first working day thereafter if 30 June falls on a weekend).

Based on list above we have 27 locked in, although I'm not sure on Hoppa's status whether he is full NRL squad yet. Waddell only current squad member that is unknown status for next year

Two emerging teenage halves and a former Canterbury forward headline the list at Manly. The Sea Eagles had to fend off NRL and rugby union rivals to land Onitoni Large, who was one of the most highly-prized emerging talents in either code. The Wests Tigers were disappointed to lose the Junior Wallabies skipper. Queensland teenager Tyler Melrose has also been given a chance to shine in the pre-season while Bulldogs forward Chris Patolo has played 28 games in the NRL over the past three seasons with the Bulldogs.

If Walsh really comes on this season and shows he can mix it at a more demanding level even at Flegg , not out of the question that he could be not that far off competing at N R L level say mid - late season
..Might even be given a go in the trials if previous opportunities to the likes of Koula , Lehi , Gordie and Weekes is any guide
Normal expectation would be that he may need some reasonable time to adjust but he looks a fairly solid lad [ Walsh ] and from some reports recently , has been impressive in the training drills and the more serious type of simulated drills
.Large looks like a flyer and should come on real well on present indications also if his defence is up to scratch
, So not out of the question on reflection , Walsh could be well in contention or close this season and Large not that far behind .
Just have to have the cap space to cater for it

I think Walsh and Large may start in SG Ball, as both qualify next year, just to build cohesion between them, and then they'll move up to Flegg when it starts.

While I enjoy the 'Manly Way', I would really like to see the squads for 'NSW Cup', 'Flegg' and the juniors. Who has left, who has stayed and who have we recruited. Yes, we know a few who have left, but, just from guys on this site posting, not from the club.

Yes, we know the Top 30 and 12 of them are likely to play NSW Cup in the first round, but what of the rest, who are they, the other 10+ players, as I assume, unlike with Blacktown, we won't have 3 senior grades.

Who is in the Jersey Flegg squad, who is still there? Is Bunting still at the club, as with Large and Walsh signings, he would possibly be thinking of other opportinuities?
