Sea Eagles’ report card due on Friday

The HR report into staffing issues at Manly is set to land in chairman Scott Penn's hands on Friday.

Penn has been overseas for the best part of the month and that's why things have been relatively quiet.

But that could all change if the HR reports turns out to be even half as explosive as I've heard it is.

All quiet on the Western Front at the moment.

If there was news how could you post it after the weekend? The club can be in "crisis" with the back office impacting on the team when there are good results on the park...it does not fit with the narrative

Danny the worm is onto it.

Manly drama bubbling again

The issues in Manly's front office have reached the stage where chief executive Tim Cleary and chief operating officer Neil Bare are struggling to work with each other.

Bare is known to be a supporter of Sea Eagles kingpin Bob Fulton. Cleary is not. From what I'm told, one of them will need to go. It was explained to me that neither has been in the office for any length of time in the last few days.

There has also been another member of staff resign. The Sea Eagles have also been undertaking an audit. The results will be interesting.

The summer's gone, and all the roses falling.
Oh Danny Boy , you make a living from all the gossip sht

Sporting affairs

It's the juiciest rumour sweeping rugby league: the prominent official and his relationship with a significant media and sports figure.

The pair have been spotted at plush hotels and airports together. I'll be surprised if this isn't made public soon.

And the infidelities are not confined to the NRL. Next week we will tell you about a cross-code affair that has been covered up.

These people never learn.

Could this be Zorba and Dean Ritchie ?? @:)
