Might be advisable to have a back up half on the bench this Sunday, just in case the crowd boos the crap out of DR DRE*, and he starts to lose his on-field composure**.😉

*Daly Rooster-Evans
**Which has been known to happen

Why doesn't anyone in the media mention Scott Penn... Just so happens he is in town. And Mestrov did say yesterday that he and DCE have no issue, then added (personally).

Mark my words , the Rorters deal already done and probably has been for months.

The current charade is just that , a charade.

Still conjecture mind you as I have zero knowledge BUT ain’t no way he’s going to the Dolphins.

And there’s only two clubs with unlimited funds in Sydney so the only other possibility is he’s playing off Roosters & Bulldogs.

But the reason I think it’s the Rorters is it’ll be a package deal,

2 years playing contract
5 years specialist coach contract
5 years Chan 9 commentator contract

All set up by Uncle Nick

Now I suppose Laundy could gift him a $10 million dollar hotel 😂😂😂
What about a reunion of sorts, Little Manly on the GC Mark. Then again it might feel to much like Manly all over again for DCE.

It’s hard to know what went down , Penn is back in the country and all of a sudden the SH#*T hits the fan . Not blaming Penn but …
The telling factor in this saga is that DCE wants to play , maybe doesn’t , maybe overseas but Manly are not in the conversation
For me it’s hard to understand why you wouldn’t want to finish your career at a club you played all your senior footy with all your close mates and still on good money and a team capable of playing finals footy
It doesn’t add up
Yes, you have to wonder if Penn is the reason that a last minute offer was made, because I think Mestrov, Seibold and co. were probably comfortable with DCE’s decision to move on.

2 things to ponder
1) Dessie went to DCE's wedding recently Seiblod wasn't invited just saying
2) I figured out what DCE really stands for
Dick Chomping Egomaniac

Maybe Dessa and Valy, I mean Vessa and Daly, thought the two might be uncomfortable at the same function?

I imagine Messrs Toovey and Barrett were no shows/uninvited too, although DCE seems to like the latter. Whereas back in 2015 he had the knives out for the former.*

*As part of his opening (and quite successful) gambit to become the unofficial boss of the Sea Eagles operation.

Seibold not going to the wedding don't mean anything
Did the top 30 players at manly go to the wedding DCE has known Seibold for 2 years DCE has known Des for a lot longer than that
You can't invite every one to a wedding

I'm yet to say anything about the saga. Been listening to others, willing to give the benefit of the doubt to both parties. When you look at it down the middle, minus the emotion or trying to figure out who did or didn't say this or that, I have a feeling the club kind of low balled him. They offered him a 750k contract for one year. He felt that figure was a bit of an insult. He wanted 2 years. Manly already had succession plans of some sort. So DCE signed a 2 year contract with a rival NRL club worth the same or maybe even more than what he was getting at Manly.
All I can say is that there's not a single Manly player who is more loyal to the team than us as supporters. We love the club and do it for nothing.
It's a business. Every player is now a mercenary. The days of players taking a pay cut in order to keep the team together are long gone.

I get why you're leaning towards the Roosters, and @TJ55 says it won't be the Dogs. However, I'm still a bit suspicious about the Dogs as it was interesting what Gus said on 100% Footy. After DCE made his announcement and answered questions from the panel, Gus turned to him and said from a club administrator's view he thought he was being professional about it all and basically complimented him on how he was handling it (lol). My immediate reaction was, has Gus already wooed him to the Dogs.
Gus Gould blew him during the ad break on 100% Footy Monday night ..... if he didn't, he looked like he wanted to.

Gotta say that the Gus walk-offs amuse me… got nothing nice to say about the topic and not gonna donate to the stupid NRL monkeys that don’t like people pointing out the f*cking obvious…

There is no way he is going to the Dogs
Rorters or the Phins
100% it's the Roosters..... This has their filthy Rooster shxt smell all over it. It reeks of Uncle Nick. It is the only club that makes sense.... He'll go out with a a team that will genuinely compete for wining a comp in the next few years and whilst he's doing it he gets to mingle with the big end of town and make connections for life after footy. I reckon it is already done and any talk that it isn't is bullshxt. We're a second or third tier club and we just can't compete with that .......

Now that he's going I wish he'd just fxck off now. By making the announcement he's quitting Manly in the way he did it he's shown us what he thinks of the club and its fans. We aren't going to win a comp this year or anytime soon. It is going to be really hard watching Manly this season with DCE playing. I'd rather watch them lose than watch a team with him in it.

I know it’s semantics but the Orr’s are no longer his manager
DCE has always struck me as someone who is never emotionally attached to anything; it is always simply transactional with him. Braith Anasta made the statement that strong principles are important to DCE & he would have felt unimpressed by the way this has been handled. My only response to that is where were these 'strong principles' when he agreed to & then reneged on his Titans deal? Feels like a lot of shrewd manoeuvring from someone in this mess as to the real truth.

Long Negotiations turn into rumors , gossip and soap operas that potentially destabilises the club and this is what has happened
Every Player manager approaches the club way before their clients contracts ends
The club knew what they were prepared to Value DCE from the start
They also Knew what their Elite halfback was worth on the open market and what he wanted
and they should have ended the Negotiations there and then and make a statement
Not in the beginning of this year .
That is not the way to do thing properly
To make an independent announcement like that (with no club representation present) in RND 3 of a season is most unprofessional & a black mark on DCE's image for doing it. A rather inglorious exit for a player who should be being celebrated.
