Hi all I just wanted to drop a line as I haven’t had a chance to do so with a busy week for me.
However last Thursday I headed in for a chat with Wayne Cousins and Liam Tapper of Sea Eagles media.
I wanted to say that there is a really positive vibe about what is going on and the changes going through the Sea Eagles. Both Liam and Wayne were very open about the plans and how we can further open up communication between them and all of us, the fans.
Whilst the timing is not great with things going on I think it is a positive move and something we should keep in mind as the current events start to move into the past there will be greater opportunities for us to have dialog that we desire.
Moving forward we are working through some plans that we can have an at arms length discussion whereby I can act as the conduit to pose a number of questions on matters through the club and there should be an expectation that some of those responses will be “We are unable to answer” but for the most part they will do their best.
They will also see if they are able to put something together for a tipping competition prize which will also be great.
Liam and Wayne were very positive about Silvertails and also mentioned that if you see them at games or around the club to say hello to them and don’t be scared of letting them know your forum name, they are open to discussion and fan engagement. They are also impressed with the general way everyone is conducting themselves and discussing things, it’s really great to see this positive stance from them, and I hope it leads to much better communication for us all and a great way forward together.
Apologies for getting this out but I have been away for work and am typing this quickly from memory and through jet lag.
Thanks all and we will see how we can formalize the communication more going forward.
I also wanted to say thank you to Wayne and Liam as well as the Sea Eagles for their time.
Dan
