Been quite a lot up here in the news regarding this game , purely from the Fins perspective as you’d expect.

I have no doubt the Fins are well and truly UP for this game , the interviews I’ve seen suggest it’s their most important game of the year , lose and they are probably out of contention , win and they are still in the hunt.

Hard to see it not being Fins by plenty.

Be a completely different thing if , we were busted by injuries ( which we are ) , and the troops were rallying around their much loved & respected captain who was nearing retirement and playing a milestone game but that’s far from the case ( as it appears ).

I doubt many of them give a flying **** any more and just want the season to be over like we do.

Could be anything this weekend , our first 50 point defeat beckons.

Yeah, they have a lot more to play for, plus they have Molo and the cheap shot merchant Kaufusie coming back from suspension as well. First 10min will tell the tale.

Agree, also, it's forecast rain on Sat and with an already soggy surface that should curtail the likes of Hammer and co. If Cherry's kicking game is on song,we'll have a great chance to take this one out.
Really?
We are hopeless, dispirited, and even worse in the wet.
And what good will a win do? Keep plonkers like Brooks, Saab and DCE in the team?
We've blown our chances to play finals.
I don't think I've ever felt so unsupportive of my team; a team I've been following for 65 years. I am even secretly hoping we get flogged again, just so it reinforces to the blockhead selectors how much we need fresh faces in the team in the last couple of matches of the season. I am desperate to go into the off season with a ray of hope that 2026 won't be more of the same rubbish.

We are long odds to make the 8 with a win on Sat anyway. I'll be going to the game with my son and nephew and sure as hell we'll be wanting to see a Manly win.

I'll be working this Saturday. Hope we win but not sacrificing a days work on the off chance that the players might want to do theirs.

No Chris Butler? A good omen maybe?

It’s hard to imagine how 2026 is anything different, could even be slightly worse.

Clearly we don’t have the cap space , are still paying at least 3 players who will take no part in playing ( AoA / Croker / Schu ) , and we are playing the brothers circa 2.5 million, 1 of whom looks buggered , and the other a shadow of his former self.
