Glen was the right call, just too injured, for years now.

45 games in his last 3 years for Manly (including the finals) and out for expended periods this year. Add The other old bodies in Lyon, choc etc and that is too much to have on the sideline. Given how bad our injuries were this year try adding choc and gift to that list.

Which I guess is why Tooves has been a little more careful with their grading into the NRL. Perhaps he's learnt from the way Des managed Hoppa Jnr, to not rush them in and ensure that any permanent spot isn't to the detriment of their development.

To be fair on Hasbola, the thing that destroyed Will Hoppa was 2 years out of the game & being unable to train. Then of course going to Parra was the nail in the coffin

Yes. In the cold light of day, Gifty not being offered a contract was a good move. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge fan (that grubber, 2011 GF!!) and always will be...... But he's been injured a lot, and has missed a fair chunk of this season injured again. If moving him on is what ensures we keep Tom, Jake and Gutho... So be it.
