Interestingly Trent Robinson's brother and former Danks mentor Dean joined the Roosters and they've since gone from 15th in 2016 to 2nd in 2017 then Premiers in 2018 & 2019.

Sharks are rubbish. It's a shame we had so many injuries and Manase stood down. I really believe we could have caused real damage. I guess the silver lining is we belatedly unearthed some promising talent and hopefully git rid of some dead wood.

Hey I don't want us to cause damage. I want to be competitive, effective on the field, good passing, holding onto the ball, good tactics, strong well organised defence, respected as a worthy opposition...and then I want Manly grind the buggers into the ground and take no prisoners. Don’t think much will change other than what’s forced by injury, it’s the way Des rolls.

And I get the sense that this is one of the few flaws Des has in his coaching make up. Too conservative. But hopefully he's been shown in recent weeks that experimenting does work

No doubt does is highly respected by the players , and he certainly goes the extra mile for them BUT the game has moved on and he ( we) desperately need an extra thinker on there that isn’t as frightened to change and experiment.

Not suggesting Des needs to go but he does need ( and need to allow ) a younger dynamic more modern thinker in there as assistant who does more than just di what Des says.

I’m sorry but Tooves isn’t the answer ( as much as we all love him).
