In the latest game day thread I said that I love me a Saturday arvo game at 3pm. But fark me if the weather is good then I also love Friday night games.

I reckon this one is a good chance to sell out too despite the fact we’re playing the Warriors

Weather forecast for Brookie on Friday:

Brookvale Weather Friday 16 August 2024.jpg

It looks like it maybe a wet game. 🌂🌧️☔

That can't be good for crowd attendance. 🙁

So wahs season already over?
5 points out of the 8
well they’d have to beat manly bulldogs and sharks which is a tough ask. that would get them to 29 points.

then hope dragons and dolphins don’t win more than 1 of their remaining 4 games.

also hope that Newcastle and Canberra don’t win more than 2 of their remaining 4 games.

also hope that Brisbane and Titans don’t win more than 3 of their remaining 4 games.

insert the ‘so you’re telling me there’s still a chance’ gif

Thought Sipley was good against the Rorters, he was off a touch against the Raiders, that miss on Hudson Young was very poor.

If Alioia is ready next week Sipley looks like he will be cut, other than the possibility of Koula returning it looks a similar line up.
It was poor coaching. He looked out on his feet and I said to my mate that he will be exposed soon and about a set later, Young went straight through him like a knife through butter. I don’t care about preconceived rotations, he was wrecked so get him off earlier. We are lucky the referee called a knock on.
I was seated on the 20m line and I reckon the coaches box has a better vantage point.

Team Tips: Josh Aloiai is expected to be back on deck for the Warriors clash. If he is, that will push Nathan Brown to the bench. Speedster Tolu Koula is nearing a return from a knee injury. Other than that, don’t expect Anthony Seibold to make any changes to the side that thrashed Canberra last weekend.

Team Tips: Shaun Johnson was a late out of the clash against the Dolphins. Following the game, coach Andrew Webster said the star halfback will “definitely” be available for selection. With their top eight hopes officially over, the Warriors will want to send the retiring Johnson out on a high note over the final four rounds. Marcelo Montoya is in line to return on the wing, with Ed Kosi the player to likely make way.
