The rain may benefit us today as our backline is a bit **** today. Bit of a leveller. Forwards can win this for us

I'm getting old ... I'm as nervous as a wee Jessie about this game ...

Just hope our forward pack decide to go postal again ...

ALL HAIL KEPPIE AND PASEKA

Actually the buzz word has been 'connections', every interview the players talk about how connected they are now, apparently it's about what a close bunch they now are. And so far it seems on point, we've had several forwards coming up from reserve grade and some going back, several reserve backs stepping up, and mostly the team has been doing well.
Long may they all be connected!
That was my instant thought to @jbb/james too, 'connections' is the constant buzz word this year and so far it appears they really are connected (as opposed to last year). Yep, long may it continue.

It's the spiritual home ground of the Sea Eagles that Manly fans just cherish and opposition teams hate to play at.

And tonight, the historic Brookvale Oval (now known as 4 Pines Park) will reach a special milestone when the 700th Manly first grade game is played when the Sea Eagles take on the Gold Coast Titans.
Well there's some incentive. Excellent.

Wet/gloomy, but to be more precise it's been showery. The fans will definitely have to bring our wet weather gear, and the players will definitely have to bring their winning wet weather boots.

Hey ALinda what’s the latest with the weather radar looks average?

Gee today's going slow ... 5.30 seems miles away ... do we need a poll? ... any suggestions ...

I'm interested to see whether the wet helps or hinders us. The Titans have some pretty handy forwards too, but they do seem to prefer an open attacking style.

The Manly I know usually save their worst for the wet weather. Fingers crossed just some light scattered showers at worst and then the floodgates open after full time. I would say the rain evens things out more in the Titans favour more than anything.

Manly kept Dogs to 6, Rabbits to 13, Storm to 8, no reason we can't restrict the Titans to a modest total.
DCE and his kicking will be vital.
Titans will target Weekes at the back and Johns in the front line.
Our forwards must beat theirs because otherwise their dangerous backs will cause big problems.
Probably target Harper and Tippytoes also.

But yeah if we fully click and a few players over perform and we defeat the ref well then there is no reason we can't win by 30+ rain hail or shine. I am tipping a more modest scoreline after further analysis and taking into account a heavy downpour or two. Manly 26 Titans 10

From a high profile person at ground: “Perfect conditions here still. No rain so anyone debating on coming, get on down.”
