It's hard to think that a team full of well paid players who have presumably all been playing since they were about 5yo can't even do the basics. Our defence has absolutely no structure. We burn at least one tackle every set through either an awful dummy half pass or a headless play. We push passes that simply aren't on. We arm grab at players. Basics. Croker looks like he's out on his feet trying to do the work of about 3 men

What has Garrick done wrong?

What has he done good he gets no where and rag dolled no impact and paired with Harper very underwhelming he should be on the wing as he is a finisher

Taking the 2 early in the game was an indicator we are not confident tonight. We had them on the ropes early in the game and elected to take the shot at goal which IMO was a bad decision and let them off the hook.
Hopefully we start playing some good footy in the 2nd half

The wailing and gnashing of teeth in this thread is approaching peak Silvertails level. Yes, we are playing extremely dumb football, but some of the targeted individual criticism is uncalled for.

I think we have enough strike to turn this around, but we have to get the fundamentals right. Something we havent done (as a team) since the tenth minute or so. Go Manly.

I said in the pre-season when Shane Flanagan signed on with us that I hope this doesn't mean that at some point we're going to go chasing his son to play for us.

And low and behold ... here we are, Round 9 of the season and Rothfield is reporting that Manly signing Kyle bloody Flanagan is "immanent" smh

At least its an improvement on Johns

The only positive is this titans team are abhorrent in the 2nd half’s. We work into it and we are a chance still. They score another pie and we are done. It’s so frustrating too as we had them on tilt after about 20mins. They were completely gassed and then we just let them back into it.

He wants to be a centre, I get that. But I think like Alex Johnston at Souths who started out being touted as the next Greg Inglis as a fullback ... Garrick has found his NRL niche on the wing.

Wingers no matter how good don't earn the money centre's do though.

3/3 sets to start the 2nd half and the GC have gotten well up over the half every set. And that's even with DCE long kicks finding the grass.
