After their loss last week cannot see a win for us , even at home.

I’m more interested though to see how the Dollar Chaser goes , week 2.

He was always going to put in for the first home game after his big announcement , but its the games that follow ( after the continued & constant media bombarding) that will show the true picture.

If he starts “ dogging it “ then it won’t just be this game we potentially lose.

I’m not sure that their forwards are “ big & scary “ but if they get over us , Harry Grant will slaughter us.

And their backs are big and strong , and whilst no doubting ours are quick , I think they’ll be intimidated by the Drizzle backs all day.

Just hope it’s a loss and not a hammering
All's we need now is for those supposed bombshell private Emails about DCE to be revealed before the game on Sunday.

Which will be a shame given our recent run at home, we only dropped 2 games last year and are 12 from 14 (I think) at present, it’s been good to see our home ground returning to its former glory as a fortress.

And we’ve had the wood on them at home for the last 3 years, would be nice to keep a clean sheet at home this year and continue Melbournes recent record at Brookie.

I’m over this part, couldn’t care less, but he’ll play, he has origin in the back of his mind.

It’s Grant that gets them going forward and their not big and scary, there just fit and never give up, relentless is how I’d describe them.

This we agree on 100% and it’s not even worth thinking about the aerial contest.

I’m hoping for the win, stranger things have happened, if I had to invest, it’d all be on the storm, but my heart stays with Manly, heres hoping.

Agree, it does look bleak tbh, Faulalo isn't a winger, I'd play Ray Ray, at least he's got size. Outgunned in the forwards as well, big challenge on Sunday. Win this and it will be one for the ages.
Not sold on Clayton or Ray Ray, was hoping Talau would of been ready, anyway I do agree if we win, it would be one for the ages.

That "s interesting , so essentially Taukeiaho and most likely Sipley in for Paseka and Alioia
Koula and Faulalo in for Talau and Ray Ray .
Jazz in for the Lawman , Simpkin for Gordy .
Storm a bit off their game in the early stages last season.
Presume the Storm are the favorites with the bookies but still rate Manly a fair chance

I have a feeling the storm don’t like coming to Brookie much. If we put in an enthusiastic team effort for the full 80 I think we have an even money chance.
Hope you are right
It just smells to me like a ambush this weekend
Storm don't lose consecutive games that often and the dragons loss was a poor one for them.
Hope I am wrong

I'm actually not too fazed with this one. Sure if we lose it's not great, but if we're competitive with no Tommy T (or TommyT 2), Croker, Paseka... I think that's to be seen as a positive. Storm without Jerome Hughes is a big out for them. Storm definitely should be favourites but I'm feeling Manly can pull this one off. If not, if they put up a great fight, then I'm OK with that.

Jahrome Hughes will be given until the last minute to prove his fitness for Melbourne as the Dally M Medal winner eyes a rapid recovery from a fractured hand.

Hughes has been named in the Storm's extended squad for Sunday's round-five trip to face Manly after missing last week's shock loss to St George Illawarra.

Interesting that some people mention Croker in the unavailable list(yes, technically he is unavailable)

And Aloiai, who'll be back the following weekend.

If Manly is the side they aspire to be in 2025, then they can overcome hurdles such as having a few players out. Souths were missing Murray, Mitchell, plus a few others yet beat the 4 time champs recently.
Absolutely no reason for Manly to go into this game with a defeatist attitude, it's there to be won.

We are being screwed. Sharks get 9 day turnaround before they play us in Perth next Saturday.
We get a 6 day turnaround after the Storm game to travel/prep, then just 5 days to travel back to Sydney to play the Dragons on Thursday night.
No surprises there…….

The current competition is very strong so far, i dont think you can write any teams off from beating anyone at this stage minus maybe 2 or 3. The myth that Penrith & Storm are indestructible is false
