Hard to say how this one may go , tend to think that Manly can be quite competitive , although Storm obviously not at that stage of being there for the taking , despite some apparent recent patchy form .
So many other factors usually at play also like ref "s calls and general rub of the green .
Crucial for Manly to aim up in defence as they generally have in recent games against the Storm and while important to get into the grind well , hope that Manly can manage a bit more in ball movement then some of those drab passages against the Eels .
Both sides still have some proven strike players .
Again , hard to predict for a range of reasons but definitely do think that it a winnable game for Manly if they can hang in tough.
Apart from 4 from 5 wins offering a real boost for their season 's prospects

100% agree that Navale should be in,
I think he will be eased in part way through the season.

If you have a young talent and you want them as part of the team at the end of the year, it's often better not to drain them by starting them in first grade too early. NRL is such a long demanding season, no easy games.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Caleb is in the side by year's end, he seems to have that high workrate which is so important for defence.

I got concerns with Faulalo and Hoppa in the back three together, I think Hoppa, Garrick and Saab are better together.

Schoupp is carrying the ball strongly and making good post contact meters, I would play him at right centre, with Turbo and Talau out I think Schoupp can do more with the tougher carries then Faulalo.

Totally agree, Gaz should be wing for this matcxh considering the size of their wingers

For me it didn’t work the best with two light bodies against the Raiders, using that as a lesson learned Faulalo had 12 carries for 65 meters and only 17 meters post contact, you want more impact with tough carries and that’s not part of what he offers.

I’m not sure who I’m more worried about, our pack or the back 5, we are way to light out the back, Warbrick, Howarth, Anderson, Coates, that’s some heavy athletic power, absolute miss match, anybody see us winning?

Coates is probably the best in the comp from kicks so it could be a tough day for Saab although with his height he should be able to at least compete. Grant Anderson is a fringe first grader with no where near Koula’s athleticism. Howarth is strong for a centre but pretty confident he won’t be burning anyone with pace, Garrick just needs to aim up in defence. The only real mismatch I see is Warbrick on Faulalo, the last few times he has been in 1st grade he has looked well below average. Id prefer Ray Vaega honestly.

Even if your right, they play a different brand of footy to us and there back 4 will be hitting it up coming out of there end all day, that’s before they get down our end and try and roll over the top of us, the aerial assault is not worth thinking about.

I’d love to see us win this one, I’m glad it’s at Brookie, but under the circumstances, the outs, even considering there’s, we look very vulnerable on paper, then there coming off a loss and will have Bellyache to think about if they don’t come away with the 2. Tough afternoon coming up anyway you look at it.

We need the majority of possession and that will require good defence, discipline and good last tackle options. We need to stick to the grinding game and i thought we did that against Parramatta. It will be a tough game to win.

After their loss last week cannot see a win for us , even at home.

I’m more interested though to see how the Dollar Chaser goes , week 2.

He was always going to put in for the first home game after his big announcement , but its the games that follow ( after the continued & constant media bombarding) that will show the true picture.

If he starts “ dogging it “ then it won’t just be this game we potentially lose.

I’m not sure that their forwards are “ big & scary “ but if they get over us , Harry Grant will slaughter us.

And their backs are big and strong , and whilst no doubting ours are quick , I think they’ll be intimidated by the Drizzle backs all day.

Just hope it’s a loss and not a hammering

Agree, it does look bleak tbh, Faulalo isn't a winger, I'd play Ray Ray, at least he's got size. Outgunned in the forwards as well, big challenge on Sunday. Win this and it will be one for the ages.

All's we need now is for those supposed bombshell private Emails about DCE to be revealed before the game on Sunday.
