Tonight is the first time I’ve run out patience with Brooks. I thought he started the year well but his defence was abysmal tonight…then to drop a couple of balls that would have shut the game down, just killed me. Heaven help us when DCE retires if he is our main man.
A few blokes did some dumb things again to keep them in it and that dropped ball from Brooks nearly killed me. But I still thought he did some good things tonight but it will be interesting when DCE goes, assuming he's still around.

All's Brooks had to do was just hold onto the pill. Next set the Storm scored, was so pissed about that one incident.

Man, that was a tough win.

As we usually do, we tried very hard to lose a game we should have had under control, but I'm thrilled we managed to hold on for a good win. We deserved that one. A couple of defensive breakdowns throughout the game, but I think we only missed something like 23 tackles, and there was some great desperation defence on our line towards the end.

Could not have been more impressed with Lehi Hopoate, who looked like he belonged out there from the moment he ran on. No nerves, no mistakes, just great fullback play all night. And Gordy had some nice moments as well.

But seriously, how does Luke Brooks drop the ball after such an amazing one-on-one strip and run? And how does Corey Waddell drop it cold? Why do they have to make it so hard on themselves? And us? A nice, comfortable win would be good every now and then.
Mate really have beaten ourselves in most all the games this year. This is why I don’t get those that continually pick apart our roster. It’s our mindset, smarts and control that have lost us games so far, not the list.

Yep. These full crowds have been fantastic. I don't know how long it's been since we've sold out that many home games in one year but I reckon it's been a while. I've been going a long time and this consistent support is great to see.
They sure are and really enhances the atmosphere. I've been going to Brookie for over 50 years and I can't remember a year when we've had so many sold out home games - and we're only halfway through the season. It's phenomenal!

Finally, my heart won instead of my head, but that last 5 minutes was super tense. Thankfully we didn't lose yet another game from dropping intensity and/or poor game management.

What a great debut by the young Hoppa. He was unphased by the big game and withstood everything the Storm through at him.

Lot of the problems with Garrick stem from what happens inside no one straightens and everything is going towards the sideline so if Garrick passes to Saab he is already covered land probably put into touch
You seem to forget Saab is a Porsche and leaves most in his dust given a small space

I think based on his composure alone the club needs to lock this kid up long term, he's a keeper
