We are losing this game because we are being dominated in the ruck and that solely comes down to Croker and Jake IMO. I’ve had a few beers and I reckon I could do a better job out of dummy half than Croker right now , and Jake doesn’t look like he can go a set without giving away a set restart. Waste of 2 very important positions in rugby league

Croker is our biggest issue. Just doesn’t bring anything to the table in such a crucial position.

He embodies total and utter averageness. The worst thing is he doesn’t realise and keeps trying to break the shackles of his own mediocrity

Brown and Jake have been terrible today and our back 5 have no idea how to Ruck it out, you gotta run hard, not receive the ball flat footed 3 metres behind the advantage line, then start running, it’s 101.

Was hopi g koula would threaten more from the back and would live ola to get back to his destructive best ( and make his tackles)

We are still in it, but we look so sluggish

57:43 possession to Sharkies. Not going to win a game with a stat like that. (I hope someone can explain to the ref at half-time what a forward pass is too... 🙂)

playing at home in front of a sell out with a home final on the line and we dish up that garbage

out the back door next week when we get flogged at Accor because this team
isn’t tough enough to play finals style footy and it’s showing up big time today

The sharks are not even good, Manly are just badly coached, and a bunch of pea hearts

As I feared , no Turbo our attack is disjointed. Not working hard in defense and too many dumb errors.
I think its also his presense on the filed, his organising in defence that is also missed.

He only needs to join into a backline movement to have the defense in two minds. Plus he bobs up all over the field in attack

For all the Croker fanbois look what a decent hooker is doing to Manly today. Destroying the team no matter how hard or how much they try in defence.

Embarrassing that the club haven't rectified this since a church dance stabbing last decade and call themselves professional.
And before you come after me I think Croker is a fantastic player, and I don't know him but he presents as a champion bloke. He would be a wonderful No. 14.

We look tired , spent, gassed, unfit by comparison.
Storm Panfers GF. Chooks will give too many injuries excuse. What excuse can MWSE offer up? There isn't one.

Dont rate the Roosters at all but the other side are a class above us, including the Sharks it seems.

We will beat the Dogs next week but that will be season over I feel.

Personally couldn't care less about a home semi.

It’s called possession. Penrith and Melbourne would looked gassed doing that much defending too. The difference is Melbourne and Penrith rarely find themselves in situations where they do the lion’s share of defending.

He is awful. Seibold deserves some pressure for caving into team popularity and bringing him back in for Simpkin. Weak decision that very well may cost us a home final and chance to go any further this year

Few dummy's out of the cot in here but all in all I think its been a pretty good game.

Gee for mine is the No1 ref in the game, amazes me he didnt get Origin.

We started strong but Sharks have been winning the ruck and playing fast through the middle. Unpopular opinion but I think we have been quite good defensively.

I think our issue has been too many silly errors and penalties gifting them field position.

All to play for, if we want Brookie next week, lets get at it lads!!!
Yep, but I did think Gee let them get away with a bit in the ruck early on when we were on top. Too many errors and the fish nearly 70% of possession. 16-8 ain’t horrific. Nice if Garrick could kick one. Jake and Croker may make some tackles but seriously they offer f&&@ all else these days. Where’s Simpkin and Jake needs to be spelled, he can’t play 80. He’s so sloppy in the ruck these days.

The reffing of the ruck has been killing us. That penalty against Brown for cuddling the kicker was woeful as well.

But yes this is a textbook example of why I don't think we can win the comp with Croker at 9.

The ball had already been kicked. Brown had zero reason to even touch the kicker, let alone cuddle him and take him to ground.

It was a dumb play.
