I don't think the criticism of the referee is warranted. I think you have to take into account how disjointed Manly's first grade side currently is, if you can't see the breakdown in defensive systems and resulting ill discipline which has justified the penalising just look at our attack.

It is a commendable effort but no one having a screamer was ever gonna tip this in our favor, in fairness to personal bias I looked at the gambling odds which reflected this kind of result significantly.
