Just confirms Barrett is an A grade ****wit. His pride has him picking walker at 5/8 the same walker who stuffed the first half of season 16 in that position.

Im not on the Hastings will save the side train by any means but hes a dedicated half and our only other fit half at that. Hes got to play, give it a shot and if it burns move on. Walker was the worst 5/8 to don the manly colours i can remember in my time as a fan.

What his decision tells me ... is that Hastings issues are far greater than he or anybody has let on ... I believe this is to protect Hastings ... he obviously doesn't want him anywhere near the place ....
Rather than accuse someone of being on a high horse it may be benefical to consider why is it so .... the simple solution for Baz was to play Hastings and satisfy the drunken media experts while also appeasing the sore bottom brigade here ....
He would of known the level of uninformed abuse he would get .... but stuck to his guns .... He may just be a tougher and better man than we give credit ...
Get on the Roosters to win 13+ and L. Mitchell to score first try as he will run over the top of Suli who is not fit for 1st grade. Walker at 5/8 will be a laughing stock, he has no long kicking game and can't set up his outside backs as he is more of a runner than play maker. I love this team but sometimes I just don't get Barrett. Whats going to be the excuse when we get done by 20 points again? DCE will turn up to the press conference and say "we just need to go back to training and work harder" Press repeat because its the same answer every week.

Desperate times call for cooler heads.
Move DCE to 6 and Bring in Joey Lussick was one option,
Tom Wright was another,
Api to 5/8 and Bringing the young hooker in was another but probably to disruptive,
Hastings was the obvious other one.
All of those look better than moving Walker to 5/8
If Moses is ready for First grade now Kelly could have been moved to the wing as he's not setting the world on fire either.
All of those look less desperate than moving walker out of position and having a center pairing of moses and kelly, with walker at 5/8.

Interesting though that both Wright and Hastings at 18 and 19. Could be a game of tricks by the club (I know we are also short on troops and basically have 21 fit players), as there less likely to drop off to the final 19.
Walker is a brilliant centre, the walker 5/8 experiment failed already, suck it up and give hastings a go, or play Wright.

Lol... what Walker at 6 tells me is Barrett believes he is bigger than the team, and that picking an actual 6 would be the logical solution when you lose a 6 which is what a first grade NRL coach would do. Barrett made the wrong decision, not his first but certainly getting close to his last. Hopefully the club kicks him and picks up a coach.

Not this week but a 56 year old Cliffy is still a better option at 5/8 than Dylan walker, I mean dare I say it Lewis Brown MAY have even been *I feel dirty for even thinking that*

And Barrett will say "I'm proud of the boys efforts today, it was courageous", ah well at least we know he can sack himself not the board. Picking Walker at 6 is career suicide once again.

Got a few days to bring hastings in. Fingers crossed he does. Dont know what else to say without rustling peoples feathers. Theres got to be someone somewhere that can compliment dce in the halfs. Got to be an organiser in england that would love a crack at nrl. Or qld cup. Lets pray its a masterstroke and we win.

This is my thoughts. This week provide Baz with an opportunity to mess with robinsons training, as the 5/8 could be an unknown as there are 2 other potential options at 18 and 19.
What that tells me is that you should stop listening to yourself ...

I apologise in advance but I must say that I kinda like the look of this. It probs will be like 2016 again but then again that was Dylan's first season with us. He now knows the structures more and feels more comfortable playing. DCE is more used to doing the organising on his own now. Walker will be protected in defence (weak part of his game) and i'm happy to see how Suli goes (who's been great for reggies this season by all reports). This is an opportunity for change in our side, and it could prove vital for saving our season.
