From the Manly Sea Eagles website, here is the ' Injury Update: Tom Trbojevic' released on Thursday, 20 March 2025:

Tom Trbojevic
will not be playing in Sunday’s Round 3 match against Canberra Raiders at 4 Pines Park.

The Manly fullback experienced hamstring tightness late in the match against the Warriors last Friday and has been on a modified training program during the week.

While
Tom was running freely in training today, the club is taking a conservative approach to have him ready for Sunday week’s home game against the Eels.

A few late changes to the 17, I don’t think they will be as clinical as round one with the ball, but that’s not a bad thing they may focus on the middle and then hitting the backrowers short rather then going out the back with Turbo out.

Manly by 14, Tent to have a big game and get of the nudie run tomorrow.

This is is a general question to everybody and not specifically to you Dion, but what does Tommy Talau have to do to get a game? Surely he is better than Clayton Faulalo who has seemed to get rag-dolled in the last game, just like Morgan Harper used to get done to him when he played for us a couple of years back. I would have also liked to have seen Nathan Brown picked over Josh Aloiai as well.

Read yesterday Talau's out for a few weeks with 'hammy tightness', (might have been a post on here somewhere). He would have been useful today for sure.

I agree Talau is the better footballer, I would have Talau a first choice centre based on last season he runs good hard lines that has helped him playing on the wing with those tough carries coming out of his own end.

I think Seibold would have had him in if he was fit, there was a story in the offseason he had an infection from wisdom teeth removal, that was followed by an ankle injury and Seibold mentioned in the pre-game conference he has a hamstring niggle.

Hopefully fit and available for selection soon as we need him.

I am a Manly for Life supporter. My assessment is that, we just do not have the forwards to do anything this year. Our 8 to 13, with the exception of Haumole, are well below average and have been so for some years now. We will end mid-table. We need a total fresh start if we are to ever to be a Premiership winner again.

Would be interesting to know our game plan today, will we focus on the weapons approach and go all in on the low percentage plays, (I imagine we will) minus our link man out the back or will we try and aim up and play through the middle? Tough task either way, but we really need the 2 points today.

I think our best chance is to limit the opportunistic stuff and attempt to get in the grind, play their style of footy, if we turn over cheap ball and let our discipline slip they’ll play all over us with their tempo. Just roll up the sleeves grind it out like we did against Melbourne last year, I think it’s probably our best option.

Dear captain please take control today, put away the low percentage plays, slow the game down at every opportunity, try going set for set with them, they won’t expect it, work with Brooks to kick long all day, a well crafted 20/40 or 2 would be invaluable, genuinely make our defence the priority, be patient with the weapons theory and get the boys focused on genuinely grinding out 80, forget the score board, (no good being up 20 nil and thinking the jobs done! likewise if we slip behind, we have points in us, just grind it out till the opportunity comes, do not play catch up) a win today would be huge for the team and a loss……..hmmmmmm.

Frustratingly for us fans, it appears that both Talau and Brown are injured but not on the official Manly injury list. Can't help but wonder what is the point of having a list at all?
