Love the aggression from all the boys, Api hitting like a truck, Taupau making great metres after contact, DCE trying different things that are working. Things I didn't like was Buhrer trying the ball play and Williame just being crap

Because they are 'my team' too. However it doesnt feel like 'my team' should. It doesnt feel like Manly. Its not just today.. even with a full squad at the start of the season.. they were ****. It feels like a foreign side. Too many **** signings were made... with some coach we cannot relate to. This is not Manly. Just my opinion.

Don't forget the toxic culture factor. If people like Eddie Hayson were hanging around our dressing room with impunity last year then something very rotten was happening behind the scenes. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the weirder player movements were in some way to do with that stuff.

Agree NOT the team that dominated for 10 years but when everyone gets that we are " transitioning" we will all enjoy the footy a bit more.

I felt like you did last year ( thanks @globaleagle ) but I've come to the realisation that we are " in between era's".

Mind you we need to improve a little in 2017 or I'll probably feel like you again this time next year.

Some people just forget that you can never write off manly...
Big second half to come, Api, Marty, Vave and Addin Fonua Blake have been unstoppable today. Myles, on the other hand has proven why he was a mistake and a waste of money. Also Brad Parker is a wrecking ball for his size, gotta be in our starting side in the future i reckon, better then bloody uate.

I will always watch. I guess it doesnt help that the identity of our playing side is all but gone now with Matai Lyon and Snake leaving. Hard to identify with this team at the moment. We used to bring players through and not signed so many 'leftover' players from other sides.. guys like Api Williame Brown etc should never have been signed. Yet we let go Manly blood like Gutherson and so on. I just never understood it. Still dont. Barrett was even prepared to let Buhrer go at the start of the season. Glad hes changed his tune on that one. I dont mind watching us lose. I was a season ticket holder during all the bad NE era. I just feel we have shafted good people at this club.. and for who? Barrett? Brown etc?

Anyway.. thats my rant. Hopefully i will have a different opinion like you next season Mark. I really do.

Liking the effort as has really been the case for most of the year. I don't know how we ever could have gone well using 30 players in our roster this year. My sad feelings around Killer retiring are really making me wish Stevie Matai has another year. I really miss him.

Yeah, there are signs of effort, but all the effort in the world counts for nothing when you keep shooting yourself in the foot. We seem to compete pretty well for the majority of most games, but there are little moments when we switch off/do something incredibly stupid and we just can't seem to recover. That pass that led to the Rapana runaway try was just woeful, and nobody - except Rapana - was in much of a hurry to clean it up. And when Cherry put down the intercept attempt, everybody in a maroon and white jersey came to a complete stop.
A little brain to go with the brawn would help a lot.

The effort is there just the cohesion lacking. Taupau having a stormer. Wonder how we'd be going with Lussick , Lawrence, Lyon, Walker, Matai, Stewart and a fit Taufua, Tom T. Think about the missing names when you criticise the effort of all those reserve graders.
