Tommy actually reminds me a lot of Dale Shearer. Like Rowdy there is a lot of brilliance to his play as we saw when he scored. But like with Rapana's first try (though not helped by Api's pass) there is also a certain amount of laziness or being too casual in his game.

I hope he gets the laziness out of his game by next year.

Parker has been impressive again. Just before half time when we were throwing the ball around he slotted into fullback just to add some extra safety, then we we started to spread it right he sprinted to get back to his wing for attack. He can read the game very well better than TT imo. Needs to remain in first grade, he is well and truly ready and good enough.

Seeing a second-string squad being decently competitive against top sides fills me with confidence for next year. I think if Stewart and Matai both retire over the off season and we get some good signings we'll be very dangerous next year.
