I thought our forwards held the middle well tonight against a relentless pack.

Our outside backs were horrible, all their tries out wide. Jorge just comes in too often and not necessary
Nope our boys didn’t hold the middle well. That’s why we were being stripped for numbers all night on the flanks.

Hate to say this but I suspected this would happen, and I've suspected it would in three of the four previous games, The Parramatta game surprised me. But look I am no expert, but if I could see this coming, why didn't Des and why hasn't he done something effective about that backline. Fair dinkum I have the greatest respect for what Des did for Manly between 2004-11 and that he led Manly out of the mire last year. But I get a sense that he is running scared about retaining his reputation and is playing it super conservative. This was not the Des of those earlier years. Its like the reputation he rightly earned, is weighing too heavy on his shoulders and he's playing safe, hoping to hold on to the kudos.

Again I'm no expert, but I think we can all see something is wrong. To rely so heavily on one player is just going no where. He has a couple of players sitting idly on the sidelines who just may help to turn things around. Maybe they wont, but its worth the risk with Manly's slide. Saying I'm not going to rush them speaks of fear to me. They are ready. Play them for goodness sake, otherwise this season will be compared to Barrett's last effort.
Damien Cook ring a bell from his time at the dogs while Des was in charge?

Really, thought he went ok. Defence was good from him. Didn't miss and wacked hard. He was far from the worse player out there.

Jorge, Elliot, Crocker, Thommo, were pretty avg tonight. Crocker and Jorge were really bad
I think Paseka is improving every week. The problem for the likes of Paseka and Keppie is Des’ reluctance to use them for longer so they’re not getting the miles in their legs and his reliance on AFB and Taupau. Both Penriths bench forwards played longer minutes than Paseka and Keppie.Just like the rest of the squad, those two are suffering from Des not having confidence in using them

Thompson has been hit and miss, not playing with the same energy each week.

You can add Parker to the list of poor performance he was caught out on the first couple of try’s, as bad as Jorge is when you watch the replay if you don’t mind the pain, look where Parker is in the defensive line.

Levi missed 9 tackles tonight.

The rest of the forwards (including the bench but not Waddell as he played mostly centre) missed.....7 between them.
I’m no Levi fan and shook my head in disbelief when they signed him,but he had to play 80 minutes tonight.Thats not defending him, that’s just a fact

Hopefully Parker Walker and Sironen are out for a while so Des would have little choice than to bring in some young guys. Having said that he will put Waddell or JetSki in the centres
Siro has been amongst our best i want him in our team. Parker too but if Parker is out hopefully walker goes into centre and we keep cust in our halves

Thank **** that's over. Imma go bang my head against the wall

Watching fox sports and they basically came out and said loosing Dylan Walker was a massive blow to us. FFS we have never really had him.I'm working the wrong job.I would love to get paid for talking nonsense. Geez times like this i need me playstation controller.Definitely no stiffy tonight.Looks like the wife misses out tonight. **** im pissed.

Disagree. Defence in the middle was solid, watching the reply of those tries, wow, horrible defence. Rushing in when totally not necessary. Happened 3-4 times all for tries. The other Crocker and Elliot let some soft tries in, slipping over and not moving up.

All from the park footballers. Jorge, Parker, Elliot, Crocker

I dont think any of us expected to see a loss like that
I had faith in our boys from their previous wins against other top contenders
There were many weaknesses exposed tonight and the positive is that we can work on them and fix them .
Many on here are saying that some of ours players would not make the starting side in other NRL teams and it is a credit to Des for getting them up to play above their weight and have them winning games for us against the top teams .
I think we will learn a lot form this loss and be a better side for it

I actually thought Paseka was one of the few positives he seems to be hitting the line much harder and with more energy and I didn’t see him miss any tackles that I can remember
He was good. Hit the line hard and very good defence. Levi, Crocker defence was bad, so too Elliot, Parker and Jorge

It meant we had Crocker at 6 and he was diabolical

can you remember a good run or a bust or a decent offload.
He just ambles forward with no intent. Ffs let hoppa Snr coach him.
