Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles recorded a 28-all draw against Newcastle Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium tonight in the opening round of the Intrust Super Premiership NSW competition.
The Knights opened the scoring early with an unconverted try to winger Tom Hughes in the left corner for a 4-0 lead.
Hastings then calmly landed a 30 metre penalty goal three minutes later to make it 28-all. He then missed a late field goal to try to snatch victory.

Well done to Manly's Blacktown performance. Newcastle apparently have a strong outfit. And according to most critics Manly has a very thin reserve strength, one of the reasons they wont make the 8. Yeh, as usual they've done their research off a quick check of the chicken entrails.
